Fox News chief Ailes says ‘air has been cleared’ with Trump (Fox & Friends Tuesday)

Fox News Channel president Roger Ailes says all is well between himself and Donald Trump after the real estate mogul spent days lambasting the network and anchor Megyn Kelly for the questions he received at the first Republican debate.

Ailes said in a memo obtained by CNN that he had a “blunt but cordial” conversation with Trump on Monday.

"Donald Trump and I spoke today," Ailes said in the statement. "We discussed our concerns, and I again expressed my confidence in Megyn Kelly. She is a brilliant journalist and I support her 100 percent."

“I assured him that we will continue to cover this campaign with fairness & balance,” Ailes continued. “We had a blunt but cordial conversation and the air has been cleared."

The memo is in line with a tweet Trump sent out earlier in the day saying he and Ailes had smoothed things over.

So Fox claimed no issue. Claims they did great.

Then for 4 days straight They get blasted In print, on websites, on twitter, on facebook.

Monday Ailes Calls Trump.
Later in the Day, Bret Baier notes the anger in the messages he is getting and notes the suggestion in them that Fox is carrying the RINO iYeb’s water.

At 9:00 Megyn whines that Trump is still attacking her, but she won’t apologize for doing her job.

Oh yeah they are feeling the heat!

Tough Crap. You brought in on yourself.

Megyn Kelly is safe at FOX for as long as she wishes to stay.

She is the rock star of the network.

Trump may be riding high, but, he’ll be gone in a few months, and Megyn will be riding higher.

I like Trump, mostly because he’s bringing light to issues that need to be discussed. But, he’s not a conservative, no matter if he says so a million times.

If Megyn were to leave the network, she would be the most wanted host on the planet, and she could easily replace anybody on the highest position as a news host. FOX’s loss would be some other lucky network’s gain.

Yes, Hewitt and Jake Tapper are moderating the next debate, which is on CNN.

I wondered if Kelly will moderate the next debate on FOX in January.

Trump is as Conservative as 14 of the other Candidates the claiming same label.

I really don’t understand why the establishment is so upset
About it. Maybe it’s because he won’t be a ho to their specific pimps. :)

No, but she’s been subtly admonished. The subtext of memos put out by Ailes and Trump are clear.

True, and there are far too many RINOs claiming the 'conservative' label, hoping that people won't notice.

But, Trump could just as easily have claimed the liberal label, and nobody would've questioned him. I like him now, but only because he is discussing some issues that needed to be heard loudly, like the ILLEGAL ALIENS issue. There, I said loudly, the "4-letter' word that California's governor wants to have banned.

Megyn has enlisted the aid of Rand Paul to deliver the kick. Carly will be his backup.

Most likely Ailes didn’t want to see his ratings plummet.

Winner.

I agree... My RATINGS of 1 = very Conservative ... 5=middle of the road... 10 = Liberal

Jeb Bush 9
Ben Carson 4.5
Chris Christie 8
Ted Cruz 1
Carly Fiorina 7
Jim Gilmore ?
Lindsey Graham 7.5
Mike Huckabee 6
Bobby Jindal 3
John Kasich 7.5
George Pataki 6
Rand Paul 5
Rick Perry 4.5
Marco Rubio 6.5
Rick Santorum 3
Donald Trump 5.5
Scott Walker 4

I feel Trump’s past positions have changed after experiencing obama. And that a President Trump who loves his country, Trump will be satisfied to be constrained by Congress. Trump’s focus would be on the Economy, Jobs, Trade, Reforming and realigning the Cabinet Departments, putting effort into stopping the divisiveness that obama instigated, getting the military back in shape and cut out all the PC nonsense, improve military readiness, getting foreign affairs back on track...etc... I do not see Trump spending time messing with the Bill of Rights except to strengthen them -such as the 4th. Amendment ...
