I have no interest in football.

Especially when commented on by a clueless, egotistic drunk.

The VIEW has good ‘ratings.’

Rosie O’Donnell has good ratings.

Obama had terrific ratings around the world.

Trash often gets good “ratings.”

I’m utterly baffled that Cosell wasn’t fired until 1985. I guess ABC thought that in spite of Cosell being a complete ass who was terrible at his job and alienated any and all colleagues, he generated “buzz” and the conflict that he created pulled in viewers. Maybe it did, but I think ABC’s employment of him from 1970-1985 was a travesty. ABC made Cosell rich and a household name when he never should’ve advanced in broadcasting beyond reading radio shaving ads.

Sorry to hear, time marches on and it goes fast. My Uncle played with Frank during the late 50’s early 60’s Giants glory years. I thought he was a plretty darn decent Football announcer as well.

Cosell was so STUPID that he wrote a book lambasting his bosses at ABC.

ABC immediately fired him.

After that he was reduced writing for local NY city newspapers.

Poor Howard.

I would tune in just to hear Cosell. I think he was one of the greaste sports broadcasters of all time.
