Since they are so welcome there, other cities should provide one-way transportation to San Freakcisco for all their stinking bums and aberrants.
I’m thinking that someone’s spellchecker substituted “affluent” for “effluent” in describing SF.
: )
Ain’t diverrrrrrrrrrrrsssssity grand?
Re-direct the vagrants and the mentally ill to the campus at UC Berkeley. Let the progs take care of them. Let them walk the walk for a change.
I like Saunders, but as a resident of SF and daily passerby of some of the parts she mentions, I haven’t noticed much if any difference vs previous years. And I have lived here 30 years now.
Excellent idea. Where do I go to contribute?
I’ve got no sympathy for them. Homosexuals rule the city. All I need to know.
“It’s a stank-uary city.”
Now, this is a thread opening post that
can stand by itself.
Debra J. Saunders is the token conservative
columnist for the SF Chronicle. It’s about
time somebody got pissed off about this issue.
Correct on the smell.
Incorrect on the source.
It’s liberalism.
Very few cities have public restrooms. Yes, most of the violators are homeless but some are just ordinary people. When you have to go you have to go. Most stores have restrooms for customers only. Where are the located? As far in the back of the store as possible.
A good example is nearby the Virginia Beach beachfront. The last time I was there I saw one public restroom on longer than a 50 block stretch. Shopkeepers make sure you buy before using the restrooms. I admit it, I peed behind a dumpster once. The city (the hotel/motel keepers association) wants the city only used by tourists who have hotel rooms.
I would recommend blocks and blocks of power washing the streets, sidewalks and building but...oh, that’s right...California is in a drought due to George Bush and Global Warming so...no water for you!
If he did, he was quoting Jack London.
New song, “I Left My Pi$$, In San Franciso”.
The stink is also the result of the city’s unrestrained commitment to low flow toilets. The city’s entire sewage system was designed to have a certain amount of water to wash the waste away. BUT, with minimal amounts of water the sewers stay filled with raw sewage and sanitation workers have to flush them out and break up the clogged pipes frequently.
It couldn’t happen to a nice city. A city that has brought us the likes of Nasty Pelosi.
Unfortunately I have to go there in a month. Ech.
If he did, he was quoting Jack London.
...
Doubtful.

My son lives in SF and I’ve been there to visit several times in the last few years, most recently in May. The city may smell roughly the same as before to you, but to someone who is not entrenched in the sewer, the smells of San Fran are horrendous. I suggest you give your nasal passages a change of venue.
The libs have been so successful at creating a cesspool in places like San Fransicko that they now want to take it nationwide.
