For a 56th birthday present to himself, Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) (R-North Carolina) took perhaps the most aggressive step yet against the Republican Party’s establishment. It marked perhaps the most bombastic challenge to House Speaker Rep. John Boehner’s (R-OH) (R-Ohio) leadership, and another point at which long-simmering tensions within the Republican caucus have exploded out into the open.

Like the sig. I wouldn’t compare this to the 60’s though. This is a marker denoting uncharted waters say ahead.

But it’s not really uncharted though. History has seen it many times. Despotic governments come and then go as quickly as they’ve come.

Republicans will come back to Washington in September with just 10 days to figure out how to avoid a second potential government shutdown in three years

Why? Shut it down. Times are a changin.

Kudos to Meadows. If the Orange One thought that temporarily removing Meadows from his chair would put him in his place Boehner obviously underestimated this guy.

Yes, but for those of us who around during the shifts, it can get VERY messy. There is also no guarantee that whatever replaces it will be any less despotic ... ask Rafael Cruz Sr.

The Republicans won the Senate and kept the House because WE THE PEOPLE were tired of Obamacare and out-of-control democrat rule.

In order to win our vote, the Republicans running for office in various states and districts promised us that they would repeal Obamacare, investigate, prosecute, convict and sentence the perpetrators of the IRS scandal, Benghazi, the VA health non-care, and giving weapons to Mexican drug cartels, and prevent Obama from executively giving amnesty to illegal aliens..

Boehner and McConnell supported those statements, letting us know that once they had solid majorities, they would fight for us.

So we came out to vote in droves (conservative states and districts) and they won their solid majorities.

They lied.

And they expect to continue governing without our outrage and disbelief?

They really need to regroup and think about the disaster that is before them, one of their own making.

Obama will INSIST that everyone notices by spending EXTRA money to close public memorials and parks.

Boehner knows if he has a vote he will not win. No conservative will vote for Boehner, they felt the fire when they voted for him at the beginning of session, they will not do that again. Sooner or later there has to be a vote and Orange Man is going down.

Pelosi will not be speaker, she would have to get 218 votes and she will not, so stop worrying about that.

By all means the GOP needs to keep the government open!

How else can Planned Murderhood pay it's bills without raising it's rates for baby organs?
