No, but immigration is a big issue, and many would like to know if Trump would support raising the quota.
It is not mentioned, but these workers are probably H2B Non-Ag workers, which has a yearly quota of 66,000.
Does Trump support raising the quota, perhaps to 96,000 per year?
Another question you might ask of Trump is does he support a new guest worker program that would allow these temp workers to stay for a longer period of time, perhaps 3 years.
I am definitely in favor of raising the visa cap for Trump’s Eastern European models, waitresses and maids!
Every time I travel and overnight in a hotel/motel, the cleaning personnel are Mexican, some cannot speak English. Americans, in most circles find it beneath themselves to do such work. When I was flying, an awful lot of our flight attendants were working on the green card. Something has happened to the American work ethic. There are a lot of jobs begging to be filled, yet those “without” work find it far to easy and lucrative to apply for welfare or disability social security. A shame. Since LBJ’s Great Society, America has lost a lot of workers to welfare and social security disability.

There is no job that cannot be filled. It is a simple matter of finding the correct price point.
It’d difficult to find a nice men’s dress or sports shirt that is made in the US unless you want to pay about $100.00 for it. And anyone who bemoans the loss of textile jobs in the US never worked in one.
What wages are fair? With the increase of wages at the incoming level, the prices of bread, eggs, and other every day commodities go up and the lower income wage earners are in the same fix as they were before the wage increase. This is my observation over the years.

Folks need to find something serious to complain about.
This involved everything in his & his wife’s lines from cufflinks to teddy bears if I recall, not only textiles. But I’m perfectly willing to hold off judgement until Trump has a chance to frame a response within the context of his current issue positions.
