From:
http://hotair.com/archives/2015/08/01/congress-wonders-can-the-nation-survive-without-planned-parenthood/

According to the Government Accountability Office, the roughly 1,200 community health centers in the U.S. serve over 21 million people per year. Planned Parenthood, by contrast, serves 2.7 million people.

“These are comprehensive health care centers, something that Planned Parenthood is not,” said Mallory Quigley, a spokeswoman for Susan B. Anthony List.

Having access to hundreds of millions more in government contracts with the absence of Planned Parenthood on the contractor list will have other centers looking to fill the gap. The demand to provide subsidies for Planned Parenthood is another form of corporate welfare, only for abortionists in order to render their other operations more economically viable.

No corporation has an entitlement to federal subsidies. This particular organization’s business practices make it unfit for taxpayer support. Let them survive on their own resources, and focus public support to those who truly focus on health rather than the destruction of human life.

Okay, I’ll take a wild guess. Unless you’ve hit your sky-high deductible, I think you have to pay out-of-pocket to see a doctor who would then give you birth control. I really have no idea, but would expect that’s more expensive than a visit to taxpayer-subsidized PP.

I think that number is actually up over 75%.

Birth control is’t that expensive if you have to pay out of pocket

Here’s one:

If you can’t afford it, don’t do it.

All one has to do is look at the number of abortions before PP and after PP to see the extension rise in abortions after PP. We are up to 60 million since row vrs wade. It is more than obvious that planned Parenthood and its birth control did not decrease the number of abortions. If Planned Parenthood is responsible for 1/4 of the abortions its demise would decrease the number at least till others increased their volume.

Oh, and I guess that BOcare isn’t really all that “affordable” after all then

The issue here isn’t that defunding PP would decrease abortions.

What is at issue is the sale of body parts from aborted fetus’ is ILLEGAL !!

Secondly, if PP wants to perform abortions, fine. Let them generate the money to do that from their donors, not down the barrel of a gun from the taxpayers.

Of course Obamacare isn’t the least bit affordable—unless you get the government to subsidize or pay for it.

And birth control itself isn’t all that expensive, but an out-of-pocket trip to the doctor can be. Again, I have no idea what PP charges and whether a PP-less world would indeed be increasing the cost for many.

Just saying I can see a scenario where the cost would be higher without them.

But if I understand correctly, reimbursement for the cost of harvesting those body parts is legal.

Nice try by this guy, but we all know that Obama mandated full coverage of birth control as part of Obamacare.

We don’t need Planned Parenthood or any other organization for this.

The fix is in, its time to collect on the “Savings”!

Birth control is wide spread, easily accessed, and readily available. Yet this country still terminates 3,000 pregnancies every day. Contraception does not prevent abortion. this author is a moron

Defunding Planned Parenthood would inevitably result in more unplanned pregnancies and therefore more abortions

Really?

Isn't obamacare supposed to force "free" birth control on everybody, even the Little Sisters of the Poor?

We don’t need more birth control. We need more self control.

I don’t think the writer likes Christian beliefs. But he says if PP is eliminated, many other abortuaries will take its place.

OK, he doesn’t like Christians, so let’s consult a Samurai authority on what to do when confronted with overwhelming numbers of enemies. Strike down the first one and work your way through the rest of them. (References to bloodshed and violence omitted as not applicable here.)

Do you believe that you have the right to choose your method of birth control with advice from your doctor? ... If you answered YES to [this] question, you are pro-choice. -National Abortion Rights Action League.[3]

The First Step.

Why should a Pro-Life Activist's Encyclopedia include information on contraception?

Because contraception, by its very definition, seeks to prevent life. Although its morality is rarely ever discussed any more, even among Christians, it remains one of the major life issues of our time perhaps even more preeminent than abortion.

The use of artificial contraception has been called "copulation without population" and "the formula by which one plus one equals zero."

Euthanasia has never been possible without the widespread acceptance of abortion, and abortion has never been possible without a public acceptance of artificial contraception.

Until 1930, every mainline Protestant church opposed both contraception and abortion. After the Anglicans accepted contraception in their Resolution 15, resistance to all kinds of anti-life practices crumpled quickly, to include abortion, divorce, euthanasia, and pornography.

Before any of the churches accepted abortion, they accepted artificial contraception. Today, the only churches that actively oppose abortion are those that have maintained the Christian tradition against birth control.

Therefore, it can be said that the advent of contraception was the very first step down the bioethical 'slippery slope' for this nation and for the world.

Definitions...

Contraception means the prevention of the union of the sperm and egg, or the prevention of ovulation. In other words, it prevents, by some physical mechanism, the creation of a new individual.

On the other hand, as its name implies, birth control prevents the birth of an already-conceived individual, whether that individual is only hours past conception or only hours before birth.

Therefore, by definition, abortion is the only true birth control, and all birth control is truly abortion!

So the use of condoms and other barrier methods would be classified as conception control, or contraception. The new birth control pills, Depo-Provera, NORPLANT, the abortion pills, and all intra-uterine devices (IUDs) would be classified as abortifacient birth control methods.

As of today, I don’t know any one in the USA that doesn’t know about birth control. Birth control is easier to get than COCA COLA in most schools. This is all BS. Now, there is no movement to get rid of PP. I believe the movement is just to defund it. They can continue doing what they are doing, that is selling baby body parts. With all that money they are making from this nefarious actions should be enough for all these members to make a very good living
