A pro-life website slammed Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush on Thursday for his years as head of philanthropy for the Bloomberg Family Foundation, which grants millions of dollars to support abortion efforts worldwide.
The former Florida governor was named a founding director of former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's foundation in 2010, LifeSiteNews reports. He stepped down last year to prepare for his presidential bid.
Bush received $37,100 throughout for working at the helm of Bloomberg Philanthropies. The foundation has $5.4 billion in assets and grants more than $200 million a year to projects around the world, Life SiteNews reports.
In March 2014, the philanthropy announced a $50 million effort to expand "reproductive health" worldwide, according to the report, including lobbying foreign nations to ease restrictions on abortion.
The project involved Planned Parenthood-Global, which trains abortion activists in pro-life countries. Latest News Update
A Bush spokesman told LifeSiteNews that the candidate would not have voted on every effort by the foundation.

Good Heavens what world do we live in?
I am still about 99% convinced Jebby will be the nominee. Not because he is popular, smart, thoughtful, etc (he is none of those), but because the GOPe always finds a way (tip of the hat to Jurassic Park).
Like watching a bad horror movie that I can’t look away from because I just gotta see “how” the get out of there, I will be watching the GOPe to see how they pull this one off.

Much of the money went for political pressure in central America to legalize abortion... In African countries where abortion is illegal they set up hospitals for “post abortive care” to supposedly help women harmed by “back alley” abortionists... they actually perform illegal abortions in those countries hoping that the host country will not shut them down as they desperately need the UN relief supplies and other assistance.
