MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. — A waitress in Maryland Heights, Missouri, is out of a job after she reportedly labeled two of her customers as "black couple" on a restaurant receipt. According to KTVI, Kimberli Wilson and a companion were at Patrick's Westport Grill on July 18 when she saw the words at the top of the bill. ADVERTISING
"I was frustrated," Wilson told KTVI. "I was angry. I was thinking, 'Really? Are we still doing this in 2015?'"

It is hard to keep up with. It seems to change daily, sometimes multiple times in a single day.
One time a friend and I were dining at a nice steakhouse.
There was a long wait.
I noticed that the hostess had written "leather and vinyl" on her pad.
She was describing our jackets. Big deal.
For the record my friend was wearing the vinyl jacket.
Maybe he should sue.

Seems rather absurd to me. If she had used a racial slur, that would be one thing. But I don’t get the sense that’s what was going on here. It shouldn’t have wound up on the receipt, but nobody was “dissing” the couple, that I can tell. More likely just an honest mistake.
Oh yeah, and the owner is a total pansy. If I ate there, I would stop.
I’m surprised my restaurant bills don’t describe me as Anti-social White Boy.

Are they white? Are they black?
Then I would give the proprietor a swift kick in the ass for being so stupid in the first place.
Hint: if these patrons were to commit a crime, what would the descriptive noun be?

In any restaurant where the descriptive "black couple" is significantly identifying and yet something which the management would flee from, I'd wager "uppity a-holes" would not be definitive enough.
