"Trump won’t get the nomination. Remember, the GOPe controls the process. How the primaries go doesn’t matter, it only matters how the convention goes."

Not so sure about that. He seems to have strength in both kinds of primary voters - closed and open. The latter being the GOPe favorite method of manipulation in getting votes for their their favorite wussiecrat. But they cannot successfully manipulate if union and blue-collar (D) voters willfully cross over for him instead of Jeb in an open primary. That's Trump's secret weapon. The very people the GOPe are counting on to dilute the (R) gene pool seem to be very interested in Trump. He is literally the worst enemy of the GOPe. He's like the Blob with Steve McQueen absorbing everything in his path.

Some kind of backroom or floor-fight at the convention is just what the doctor ordered. It is a prescription for the annihilation of the GOPe politburo and frankly is long overdue. It is for that very reason I doubt it will happen. The (R)epublicrats are far more likely to surrender for self-preservation, attempt to stake out whatever safe position necessary to survive in a Trump era and live to fight another day.

But we can certainly dream. So yeah. Bring on that floor fight. (R)epublicrat party surrender or (R)epublicrat party dissolution. I don't care. But it needs to be annihilated nonetheless.

To complete the coup, Trump would need to insert people like Palin, who has developed serious grassroot skills, into the RNC. Refocus the machine on TEA and traditional conservative candidates at all levels: Fed, State, Local. We can then watch and see how the allegedly all-important big donors react - the Kochs or whomever. I suspect they'll see the light, eventually.
