In his bid to connect with Hispanic voters, Jeb Bush has taken an extra, unusual step.
The Republican presidential contender has hired Raul Henriquez to staff him on the campaign trail. The former congressional aide speaks fluent Spanish and serves as Bush's second "body man." Henriquez' title refers to an aide whose job it is to staff Bush at all times. But he was added to the former Florida governor's traveling entourage — alternating time on the road with Bush's regular body man — to ease interaction between the candidate and Spanish-speaking voters.
That's just one example of Bush's commitment to Hispanic outreach and his early focus on this key voting bloc, as manifested this week with his first interview conducted entirely in Spanish.

A body man is, in U.S. political jargon, a personal assistant to a politician or political candidate. A body man accompanies the politician or candidate virtually everywhere, often arranging lodging, transportation or meals, and providing companionship comprising providing snacks, a cell phone, and any other necessary assistance.
Hispanic Boot would be more appropriate.
I guess Jeb thinks because he married an Hispanic, all Hispanics think alike and would back him.

Why is the Hispanic vote so precious and coveted? It looks like Hispanics are going to be the majority in this country, yes, but it hasn’t happened yet. There are still far more white voters. Yet somehow, it’s okay to ignore or even insult white voters, while pandering and panting for the precious, precious Hispanic vote. They even came up with a name for it, “Hispandering.” Does every Hispanic vote count as much as a million non-Hispanic votes or something? It seems like it.

Bush is losing the “Hispanic” votes but will continue to get a majority of the Mexican votes.
