Without a doubt, Donald Trump has done the conservative base some tremendous favors recently. He instinctively understands the mood of the country on key issues and is tapping into the anger at all of Washington -- all Democrats, the Jurassic media, the Republican establishment politicians, consultants, lobbyists, and donors, and of course the conservative establishment media as only Donald Trump can do. He is demonstrating that his instincts are superior to most politicians, and he certainly has all the right enemies at the moment.
As a direct result, his poll numbers are surging. There is correlation here.
This is very refreshing. Moreover, it's extremely important. This blunt tone and accompanying fearlessness are exactly what these times call for. It should be a teachable moment to all who are seeking the nomination, although it seems only Ted Cruz and Carly Fiorina - who are both predisposed to being blunt - are enjoying it.

I’ll take Trump’s broad, full-forced and open assaults on BOTH sides of the UniParty, over the subsurface, sinister hits RINO’s like McConnell/Dayspring/Romney operatives send out....against their own.
My guess is that he would seek some kind of accountability for the monies given, as he must do in business.
I share much of that sentiment, but have to admit, the guy has me cheering him on. He's made things around here a lot more fun.
Doesn't mean I trust him or understand him yet......
No one is perfect. Every candidate has pluses and minuses. It is appropriate that everyone knows what we would be getting into if we were to have Trump as nominee. And he also would benefit from even-handed criticism.
thank God that’s just your guess, and not your assumption. It is always scary when voters start completing sentences for their candidates with what they hope that candidate will eventually say/do/espouse.
I don’t. The Dems are hard core open commies. The GOP establishment are undercover commies.
Donald is not mine; he has many flaws. However, he is useful because he is shaking up the establishment uni-party. Trump has criticized the commie 0bama and hitlery for their idiotic policies. Meanwhile boner and mc-conner have only facilitated 0bama.
in other words, you didn’t read the article and we’re arguing over your totally wrong assumptions.
Thanks for clarifying. Reading something before commenting on it is prudent by the way.
The only reason I don't change my voter registration to Independent is that then I would get junk mail and junk phone calls from BOTH parties.
Me too.
Well ... duh. But will you take Cruz (or Walker) over Trump?
Me too. I sent the GOPe Monopoly money a couple of days ago after they publicly screwed Ted Cruz. Also sent them a nasty-gram about why they can go to hell.
....um, do you think you might have just given a false choice there? Trump or GOP estabs are NOT THE ONLY TWO OPTIONS.
Just sayin......
Wow....I haven't heard that term since middle school! Quite the wordsmith, you.
I'll take my Sen Cruz/Trump or Trump/Cruz...happy with either scenario. They're the ONLY ones taking it to the UniParty.
How about you? Do you support Trump's full-forced, return fire attacks on the sinister hits of the RINO/UniParty (Romney Operatives)?
Trump or GOP estabs are NOT THE ONLY TWO OPTIONS.
Never said that. Trump, Cruz OR the GOPe/Romney Operatives, are the only options, so far.
then maybe post a little more carefully.......because your earlier posts were not made in that vein.
Understand that blaming Bush meant by association blaming conservatism, free enterprise, and all Republicans.
May comment was based on the authors statement pulled from the article.
This one will REALLY make some heads explode....
I am that author......
Absolutely positively. I love the conversations that he has sparked and how he has poked the gOpE in the eye. And how he has energize the "Fed Up Crowd".
However, that doesn't make him a good POTUS candidate though or erase his history of supporting Leftist causes. But if the choice is Jebby ... or even a Third Party Trump, I would be all in for Trump.
Until that sorrow scenario appears though, I'm all in for Ted Cruz.
I have said all along Donald probably isn't the guy. BUT, the guy might be watching Donald and putting the pieces together how it's done. Because what Donald is doing IS how it's done.
People follow strength. Not weakness.
