Houston’s Lesbian Mayor Makes Sick Move Against Christians… Texas Court Slaps Her Down

In May 2014, the city council of Houston, backed by the first openly gay mayor in America, Annise Parker, passed an equal rights ordinance that provided special protections against discrimination for certain individuals based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

The Texas Supreme Court has now ruled that the city must either repeal the controversial measure, or place it on the ballot for the next general election.

Critics had argued the ordinance would place an undue burden and risk on religious institutions and pushed back against it by rallying support with a petition to overturn the new law.

The city promptly threw out most of the petition, causing the religious community to file a lawsuit against the city, which led to the mayor’s subpoenaing sermons and other documents from at least five local religious leaders involved in opposing the ordinance.

The subpoenas issued in September sought “all speeches, presentations, or sermons related to HERO, the Petition, Mayor Annise Parker, homosexuality, or gender identity prepared by, delivered by, revised by, or approved by you or in your possession.”

Mayor Parker expressed “disappointment” at the ruling, and stated that she believed the court had made an “error.”

“We will proceed with the steps necessary for city council to consider the issue,” she said. “At the same time, we are consulting with our outside counsel on any possible available legal actions.”

Parker vowed to continue defending the embattled city ordinance, and compared it with other civil and equal rights laws around the country.

“Our citizens fully support and understand this and I have never been afraid to take it to the voters. We will win!” she proclaimed, according to The Blaze.

Since the measure was overwhelmingly supported by the mayor and the city council, it is unlikely that they will voluntarily overturn the controversial law, meaning the citizens of Houston will get the chance to weigh in on the new rule in the next election.

Hopefully, the good people of Houston will stand up for religious freedom and vote down this ordinance that doesn’t protect equal rights, but grants special rights to one select group at the expense of another.

Please share this on Facebook and Twitter to show that the fight for religious freedom is back on in Houston, this time in the hands of the people.

Far worse than this is the move by the Austin city council to ban Bar-B-Que. Rope has sold out there today.

Compare the attitudes and statements of the current crop of perverts, blacks, illegal aliens and anti Christians with those of the Medieval Lord. (At least the Medieval Lord was legitimate.)

Mexicans will vote against the homosexuals every time - just like they did in California with Proposition 8.

Making it about "religious freedom" does the same thing they protest. It gives some people special rights. Why should religious people be able to decide not to serve certain customers but other people can't?

Religious freedom isn't really the issue. The real issue is not having the freedom to choose to do business with anyone you like, for any reason you like. Why should anyone be compelled by force of law to make a cake for anyone at all? That's slavery.

Perhaps Mayor Parker’s approval world be garnered by the late Rev. Jim Jones of the People’s Temple poison coolaide massacre in Guyana. Rev. Jones had a Temple Officer dedicated to visiting each young man in the denomination with an enema kit which each boy was instructed to use to ensure lower alimentary cleanliness before promptly reporting for a private interview with the Reverend Jones.

The City of Chelsea (Michigan) is attempting to pass a similar ordinance via a vote within the City Council (currently, only ONE council member is opposed). Makes me sick. This type of thing needs to be on a ballot so the citizens/residents have a say. One of the members stated that this ordinance would “help” local employers hire a diverse workforce. #1, not enough hiring going on right now so moot point; #2, this won’t “help” employers - they’ll be HOGTIED and FORCED to comply with this silly ordinance. Many thanks to the LGBTs, who can’t handle their own reality without EVERYONE ELSE kowtowing to their wants and “needs”. Sounds like a mental issue to me.

Impeachment isn’t good enough. She has used the power of her position to attack people illegally. She should be in prison for abuse of power.

No shoes. No shirt. No service. -
This is discrimination against those who have no shirt & no shoes.
