Why Donald Trump is leading the Republican field
humanevents.com ^ | 7/24/2015 | Brian Darling

There is a simple reason why Donald Trump is leading the race nationally amongst the numerous Republicans vying for the nomination of their party. Voters are despondent, and angry, and looking for somebody different.

Republicans are mad that the Republican controlled Congress has produced nothing. They recognize that the Republican leadership has been ineffectual. They see Donald Trump fighting and fighting hard.

Same seems to be true on the Democratic side where Hillary Clinton has been forced to re-launch her campaign two times, because she is such a boring candidate who does not say anything to excite rank and file Democratic voters.

Donald Trump has tossed aside the Queensbury rules of combat for a political version of a bloody MMA battle. This has caused chaos in the Republican field that will hurt Gov. Jeb Bush more than any other candidate. As we get closer to debates, it is clear that Trump will train his fire on Jeb and it is not going to be pretty. Expect Jeb to have to tap out of this political fight when it becomes a Trump versus Bush debate battle.

While Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is pulling huge crowds and showing that Clinton has a glass jaw, Republicans leaders in Washington have done as much as they can to help put Hillary, or another Democrat, into the White House.

Polls indicate that since the Republican sweep to victory in 2014, President Obama’s popularity is rising. That helps Hillary.

During that time, Republican rage at leadership is also rising. A recent Pew Research Center study found that “the Republican Party’s image has grown more negative over the first half of this year. Currently, 32% have a favorable impression of the Republican Party, while 60% have an unfavorable view.

Not really, to correct you and I stand on my position.

The big concern I have is VOTER FRAUD come next year.

Rather the largest factor was and is VOTER FRAUD.

The odds are that the GOP will go the way of the Whigs.

They are dead, dead, dead.

We are awaiting the rotting stench (not that the stink is not already high, given walking-dead Bonehead and McDork.)

Cruz' poor polling worries me. he should be the nearly unanimous conservative choice. it's hard to believe that only 4% of conservatives prefer him.

i think the "fix" is in and we're going to end up with The Wicked Witch Bitch vs. JEB in 2016. that's bad for everyone.

The only thing I hate worse than a Democrat is a Republican.

It’s even sadder that there isn’t more grassrooting for Cruz, or perhaps for a Cruz-Trump combo.

Whatever else one can say about Trump, he has the verve to catch Americans’ attention on things that matter and that are being callously disregarded by most of both major parties.

I think the people should be voting, on their knees, for God in their heart again. Get that, and the tangible power it brings, and whoever is ruling will respect the people again. It might just be that Trump, the apparent agnostic, is even now respecting Christians more than a lot of “Christian” politicians are.

Something good that is failing is more distressing than something very bad, because it disappoints. That is no excuse for throwing the battle to the very bad.

The odds are that the GOP will go the way of the Whigs.

They are dead, dead, dead.

of course they are. they committed suicide. just look at the squishy RINOs they've run for the past 7 presidential elections.

1988 - GHWBush
1992 - GHWBush
1996 - Dole
2000 - GWBush
2004 - GWBush
2008 - McCain
2012 - Romney

they deserve to go the way of the whigs. they suck. they have helped the 'RATS ruin this country in just a single generation.

If people are not asking the angels to be among them, they will get the devils.

:: Plus MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD played a BIG role ::

In 2012, it was a case of Voter Fraud by Acquiescence.

Why did the Philly precincts show over 100% of all votes for Obamugabe? Why were some urban precincts so quick in reporting their totals?
Why did many precincts across the US that had previously reported (both 2004 and 2008) “late into the wee morning hours of ballot-counting counting” ^NOT^ reporting such in 2012? ACORN, that’s why.

Whether the MSM was complicit or not, once they made their first prediction of an Obamugabe win, the ACORN controlled precincts made a numerical count of ballots and simply reported them as Obama votes; they were never actually counted.

Many suburban Chicago precincts that in 2008 ran late into the night, within hours of the first prediction, returned their ballot totals.

Or better put, asking FOR the angels... (asking God, not the angels directly)

The people have been under an evil spell, and politics will not be able to disperse it.

The solution is in a supernatural dimension.

The flaw in your argument is that there is no difference anymore. They are all bad and have to be replaced with good.

were PA and IL ever close to going for Romney?

stuffed ballot boxes in blue states ultimately don’t affect the electoral votes. only in battleground states does it matter. were PA or IL ever in play for Romney???

If we were charged with looking for primary good on earth, then you would have a point.

But you have no point because primary good is sought from a source OFF earth.

You do not despise a small door because it is not a large door, and out of sheer spite choose the solid brick wall.

Pennsylvania was one of the closest states in 2012, around a 5% margin. A state that close has to flip for the GOP to win in 2016.

You make an argument of a difference without a distinction. The national polling never mattered. IN the ACORN precincts, it was a fait accompli prior to the election...the ballot-counters knew what they would do regardless if Romney were 75-points ahead. [hyperbole for effect]

It’s not just “anger.” I think Trump amuses voters. In the old days, we had candidates who sometimes were witty and candid. Trump is a bit of a throwback to that - his take-no-prisoners style reminds me a little of Jesse Helms’ putdowns in his hay day. Plus, his New York street style is refreshing to voters across the country. Those who don’t like him prefer the prim, puritanical political correctness of today’s robotic candidates. No wonder he’s soaring.

when was the last time PA voted republican? 1984?? 1988?? that’s a long time ago. not sure PA will ever vote for a GOP candidate ever again. Pittsburgh and Philly are very ‘RAT and dominate statewide elections.
