Ted Cruz: "Sen. Cruz: McConnell-Reid Leadership Team Operates for One Party: The Washington Party
Senator Ted Cruz Press Rekease ^ | July 26, 2015 | Ted Cruz

AMERICAN PEOPLE ELECTED A REPUBLICAN MAJORITY BELIEVING IT WOULD SOMEHOW BE DIFFERENT FROM A DEMOCRATIC ONE

WASHINGTON, D.C. – After speaking on the Senate floor today, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) issued the following statement:

“We’ve just seen something extraordinary on the Senate floor. The American people elected a Republican majority believing that a Republican majority would be somehow different from a Democratic majority in the United States Senate. Unfortunately, the way the current Senate operates, there is one party, the Washington party.

“Senate leadership consists of the McConnell-Reid leadership team. They operate as a team. They support the same priorities. If you look at what has occurred in the United States Senate since the Republicans took a majority, we immediately returned after winning a historic majority to pass a trillion dollar ‘cromnibus’ bill filled with corporate welfare and pork. Then, the so-called Republican majority voted to fund Obamacare. Then, the so-called Republican majority voted to fund President Obama’s unconstitutional executive amnesty. Then, the so-called Republican majority voted to confirm Loretta Lynch as attorney general. Then, just moments ago, the so-called Republican majority voted to reauthorize the Export-Import Bank, an egregious example of cronyism and corporate welfare.

“Every one of those is the priority of the Democratic leader Harry Reid

Ted Cruz, whether now or later, needs to lead this nation.

More importantly, will be call for a third party? It must be built from the ground up, and it must start sooner rather than later.

2020 is way too late. 2016 may be too late as well. It must be THIS year.

Yes, Cruz will never make it through the GOP delegate process. Regardless of the primaries, the RNC and super delegates will be used to assure an anointed candidate. Only Trump, and maybe not him, has the firepower to run over the RNC. It is time to burn down the GOP, which is really just part of the uniparty, and start over.

I wonder why no other conservative Senator stood and defended Cruz during Sunday's travesty of a Senate session? Are none of them willing to be counted? Cruz should be the one to lead a revolt and formation of a new Congressional party now, in time to be recognized nationally.

I doubt there will be much of anything left by the time 2020 comes around. As it stands, DC is hell bent on breaking this country apart. The producers are being absolutely raped by the politicians as they re-distribute our wealth to others. They are taxing us to death, regulating every facet of our lives and wholesale killing the next generations chance at anything of a future. In short, they are killing our country while they party it up on our dime.

I readily admit my use of the word ‘perfect’ was wrong.

I should have said, without evil.

As in; “Are you saying Cruz is without evil?”

The last person that I’m aware of who walked on earth who was without evil was Jesus Christ. Fiddle challenged me on that ( I think), so he may have to let me know who else, other than Cruz of course, who that is.

“Go Trump”?

What article are you reading? This is Cruz speaking, not the third-party-vote-splitting-get-Hillary-into-office-loudmouth-jerk-RINO Trump.

“Ted has no chance to win the nomination this year ...”

This was written a few decades ago:

“Reagan has no chance to win the nomination this year ...”

Go, Ted Cruz, stick it to them. He’s got nothing to lose from the GOPe, and every to gain from those of us who are sick of the Washington Party’s business-as-usual crap.

Absolutely! Trump has tapped into the great silent majority (GSM) in this country and Cruz is right to attack the 'Washington Pary'. The GSM are sick of the way the Washington Party have stood by or actively assisted in the destruction of this country. People see what's going on and they don't like it and I think they may FINALLY be ready to do something about it!

“Sounds like he is all but saying there is a needs for a “new” national political party.”

Who knows what the next year will bring? Trump and the Great American Party (the GAP) with a Trump/Cruz ticket?

“So they’re saying to Cruz and any who are his allies.... you can’t play in our field.”

And some here will expect me to vote for the establishment RINO. Never again. I will vote for Cruz or Trump, nobody else. Unless Walker can start acting anti-establishment and explain why he had a midnight conversion about amnesty.

His speech was a masterpiece. Should be required viewing for everyone who either claims to be, or wants to be, a conservative.

What exactly is your point?

Since Jesus is not running, we should not vote?

Your illogic in this thread is annoying, I have to say.
