Bland was social activist and no stranger to negative contacts with law enforcement, as evidenced by over...
How many negative contacts has this cop had with citizens?
In the real world those are referred to as "dead chicks."
BS...Ive been pulled over smoking and have never once been asked to put a cigarette out.

40 years ago, I was stopped by a cop, close to midnight. I had blown right through a red light. I had a tall Tupperware glass with bourbon on ice between my legs. Cop asked me what was in the glass, I was drunk as a skunk and told him the truth. He told me to pour it out on the ground, I opened my door and accidently poured it on his shoes. He cussed a little bit, then let me go.
Only thing I can figure out, it must have been close to shift change and he didn’t want to mess with me.
Kaslin, excellent analysis!
In Missouri, you have one month. We have a problem with our neighbor to the east, Illinois
******************************************************************
My g/son’s car is licensed in Illinois, he lived in Missouri for 6 years that way, Cape Girardeau, just across the river from Illinois, college town, lots of out of state plates, then he moved to Florida and has lived there for 4 years - same Illinois plates. Missouri’s plates are considerably cheaper than Illinois (Illinois $101 per year) but he says Illinois has no car inspection, Missouri does. I don’t know about Florida.
He’s a bum and I hope he gets caught.
Too much paperwork.
I got pulled over on the way home from a kegger with my girl in my big old dodge van...I wasnt “drunk” but I was sure I was over the limit...so I told her “when I open my window put your finger in your throat and barf in the door well...
She say’s ‘No that gross”
I told her...”well if you dont I’m going to jail and your mom will know we were at a party”
So as soon as the cop was at my window I rolled it down and she’s barfing in the door well....
he says “what the hell is going on here?”
I blurted out “ I’m sorry sir we were at a party and she got away from me and she’s drunk and I need to get her home to her dad”
He just said.....”you take her home right now”
I Said “yes sir” and he walked back to his cruiser...he must have figured I’d be in more trouble if I had to face her dad...
We made a bee line for the do it yourself car wash...
Not all of course and probably not even most but enough that its impossible to tell who the good ones are.

I can tell my son’s one of the good ones, I raised him right. I wouldn’t have his job with the crap he has to put up with for twice his pay and he makes a pretty good salary.
Yes ...no one should ever do anything to avoid paying higher taxes....it’s your patriotic duty to pay haigher taxes...Joe Biden said so.
I don’t know, his personnel jacket might yield some insight, he might have complaints, he might have medals, who knows?
I think a week later, with all the publicity, the haters would have come out of the woodwork to excoriate him on CNN...
so maybe he is good cop who had a run in with social activist with an agenda who was more skilled at ticking off cops than he was at settling militant activists who weren’t going to listen anyway.
“I can tell my sons one of the good ones, I raised him right. I wouldnt have his job with the crap he has to put up with for twice his pay and he makes a pretty good salary.”

Glad to hear that. I have two cousins and a dear female friend who are cops. I hear they are good ones too.
I wouldn’t want their jobs though; even at their pretty good salary. Crazy hours. Dealing with druggies, drunks, insane people, low lifes, etc. etc. all week every week. That has to wear a person down no matter how strong of character they are.
Believe me; I don’t want to become jaded but what is one to do when the stories just keep hitting the news constantly.
I never liked bully’s whether had a badge or was just a punk thug. If police forces across the country don’t get on this issue and start firing the bad cops; it will just breed more distrust and let the good ones know playing by the rules is for chumps which will make things even worse as it snowballs downhill.
Wild guess: not in a big city?
Peoria, Illinois. Population about 100,000 at the time.
I dont agree. She seemed fine. She didnt grovel, and was a bit resistant, but so what?

She repeatedly refused his lawful orders to put out her cigarette and step out of the car.
I believe a follow-up story I read said that they found evidence of drugs in her system.
She was a black racist activist who was trying to make headlines.

I dont think that theres much doubt that the cops are far quicker to get the guns out and use them then they used to be.

The officer did not pull his gun on her. It was the taser.
My dad used to live in Peoria. Is your son’s job tougher or easier when they are buried in snow?
...so that he could demand she step out of the car and he could arrest her.

His intent for stopping her was just to give her a warning ticket for not using her turn signal. He wasn’t set on arresting her until she refused his lawful orders and was very billigerant.
I live in a small town now, population about 1600. About 9:00 P.M. tonight there was a knock on my door, it was a cop, telling me that two of my car doors were open and he was just checking to see if everything was alright.
I had carried groceries in from the car, hands full I was going to come back to close the doors, then simply forgot them. I’m glad that we have those kind of cops. Just a simple pleasant thing for him to do, checking on my well being.
The town where my son’s a cop, about 35,000 people and it seems they have more than their fair share of drunks, dopers, domestic batteries etc.
Since we are both not mind readers, we can only guess from what we see in the video. To me it looked like he was mad at her reply to his question about how she felt. So he started to escalate it. You see something different. You see that he decided to escalate it because she would not put out her cigarette. To me, either way he looks like a power-drunk jerk.
