Hillary Clinton accepts invitation to testify before Benghazi committee

Hillary Clinton accepted on Friday an invitation to testify before the House Select Committee on Benghazi in October.

Chairman Trey Gowdy asked Clinton to appear before the committee earlier this week, according to campaign spokesman Nick Merrill.

Merrill also disputed media reports that Clinton had handled classified information improperly on her private email server, which prompted two inspectors general to refer the matter to the Justice Department for a possible criminal investigation.

"Friday began with the printing of a story that was false," Merrill said in a statement. "Entities from the highest levels of two branches of government have now made that clear."

Even without mentioning the word ‘’Benghazi’’ during speeches to his growing number of supporters, Bernie Sanders has been vaulting ahead in the polls.

The Democratic party is already seriously split.

So if Hillary’ presidential campaign manages to survive until October, will any Democratic Congressmen on the Benghazi Committee be foolish enough to support her at the hearings and help her perpetuate her lies, knowing that a significant number of their Democratic constituents are anti-Hillary?

If the criminal charges against Hillary are strong enough and she can’t count on Democratic Congressional support, maybe she should devote her energies to staying out of prison rather than trying to win the White House.
