Joe Arpaio Renews Obama Birther Claims, Repeatedly Snaps at Tapper in Bizarre CNN Interview

CNN’s Jake Tapper confronted Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio this afternoon over his (and Donald Trump‘s) refusal to give up the “preposterous notion” that President Obama wasn’t born in the United States and that his birth certificate was forged.

He asked Arpaio why he would risk his credibility on issues like immigration by sticking by this conspiracy theory. Arpaio said, “I don’t care where he came from, we’re working on a fraudulent, forged government document.”

An incredulous Tapper asked Arpaio if any respectable law enforcement official agrees with him on this. Arpaio boasted that he’s willing to look into something that everyone else will shy away from.

In fact, Arpaio said, he wouldn’t be stupid enough to go on national television and make such a claim if he wasn’t absolutely sure of himself.

If that is true than someone at MCSO is going to jail.

The Montgomery stuff points to intent. According to Judge Snow’s reading of the evidence the MCSO hired Monty to rig up a phony conspiracy between Judge Snow and the DOJ. So instead of following the courts orders, they tried to frame the judge.

Obviously that would be illegal.

So Snow “interprets” the evidence to mean that he was framed, and rather than recusing himself so somebody objective can deal with it, he declares himself innocent and Arpaio guilty and demands that he get possession of all the evidence.

And we’re all supposed to be fine with that. (”Judge’s knowledge”, ya know. Who needs evidence?)

What evidence does Snow have, that records were slated for destruction? The word of an anonymous source who could be a plant? Or may not exist at all? We’re all just supposed to TRUST him - since he’s been so credible and trustworthy in making himself the judge of his own alleged wrongdoing?

And how in the world would they know he was born there?

These Kenyan political figures (post # 88) would likely be able to talk with Obama Sr.'s family and/or friends, who might well remember Obama Jr.'s birth if it occurred there. It so happens that the Kenyan Ambassador to the US stated on US radio that he knew the precise location of Obama's birth in Kenya and suggested it may be turned into a national historic site there. In addition to word of mouth, they might also have access to Kenyan hospital records, if he was born in a hospital. In fact, several years ago, an image of a (purported) birth certificate from a Kenyan hospital was posted here on FR. It sparked quite a debate as to whether or not the document was authentic.

In addition to this, another FReeper posted that while serving in the Marines in the late 1970s, he met the teenage Barry Obama by chance in Hawaii and struck up a conversation with him, during which the Marine said that he had spent time on duty in Mombasa, Kenya. Obama then replied that he (Obama) was born in Mombasa. (No reason for the ex-Marine FReeper to make the story up out of thin air.)

Appreciate the rhyme, but as pointed out in post # 125, if it is true that he was born in Kenya, it is most likely he was born in Mombasa, which is a port on the Indian Ocean, several hundred miles from Nairobi.
