Joe Arpaio Renews Obama Birther Claims, Repeatedly Snaps at Tapper in Bizarre CNN Interview

CNN’s Jake Tapper confronted Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio this afternoon over his (and Donald Trump‘s) refusal to give up the “preposterous notion” that President Obama wasn’t born in the United States and that his birth certificate was forged.

He asked Arpaio why he would risk his credibility on issues like immigration by sticking by this conspiracy theory. Arpaio said, “I don’t care where he came from, we’re working on a fraudulent, forged government document.”

An incredulous Tapper asked Arpaio if any respectable law enforcement official agrees with him on this. Arpaio boasted that he’s willing to look into something that everyone else will shy away from.

In fact, Arpaio said, he wouldn’t be stupid enough to go on national television and make such a claim if he wasn’t absolutely sure of himself.

For the past six years when appearing on FOXNews Apaio appeared to have been forced to sign an agreement NOT to ever raise the issue of Barry's BC. Now in this appearance on CNN Jake Tapper raised the perfect question and Arpaio hit it out of the park.

Arpaio makes the point that nobody has come forward to actually authenticate Barry's BC and refute Arpaio's claim to have proved that it is a forgery!

This is now Donald Trump's big chance to come to Arpaio's defense against Jake Tapper's attack regarding the authenticity of the BC. Will Trump rise to the occasion? Will there ever be a better time?

The behavior of Barry, his legal team and the DNC from day one regarding both his constitutional eligibility AND the specific document in question has been QUILTY as in BETRAYS CONSCIOUSNESS OF QUILT!

Textbooks can and will be written on all of the legal evasions that have been made at every step to avoid showing the stupid thing and then after the fact ignoring authentication of what Barry has put up as being his BC.

All of the media are cowering in fear of being accused of being racist if they dare to suggest that he thing is forged as Jake Tapper pretty much just did to Arpaio and Trump, although I suppose he just said they had through their reputations in the toilet.

But Arpaio stepped right up and said he didn’t care what Tapper thought. Will The Donald double down, too?

I have to believe that a swarm of reporters will rush to Trump to demand to know!

This is mighty troubling for any news organization to do, much less FOX. Easy for me to say I guess, but if they wanted me to sign something of what I believed to be of such significance (which it is), I think I would have told FOX to...I think you know.

Admit it Sheriff Joe, you got nothing. Or what you DO have will never be acted upon during this presidency, and by now, you must be aware of this. I think Joe Arpaio just wants to use this as a reason to be invited on Fox News. I don’t think any less of Arpaio as a lawman, but I no longer expect any ‘revealing reports’ of any consequence from him. Stop. Just stop.

I think this ship has long sailed. Even if it’s proven that he isn’t eligible to be president, who is going to do anything about it anyway? Our Congress? Yeah, right. They aren’t going to impeach him - McConnell made that plain after he was re-elected.
