The White House is in the “final stages of drafting a plan” to close the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, officials said Wednesday.
President Obama has made closing the facility a top priority since his early days in office, but he has encountered resistance on Capitol Hill and still faces the thorny question of what to do with terrorist prisoners who cannot be transferred and cannot be brought to trial in U.S. courts.

we can’t close Gitmo ! It’s the clear and obvious place to put Obama and many of his administration members after they are arrested for treason .
It's Obama's priority to damage US natinal security however he can before leaving office.

He can be stopped. But the Congress does not have the will or the political guts to do it. Their politics are far more important to THEM than the impact of Obama on America and its real citizens.

He can close the prison, but if he consents to Cuban demands and tries to break the lease on the naval base and give the land back to the Cubans the Military will lock him up pretty quick.

(original intent of the) Constitution
(free market—not crony) Capitalism
It is ‘theirs’ and they rent out the place to US.
Can Obo pardon POW’s?
It may be the only reason he hasn’t done it,yet. Carter gave away the panama canal, obozo wants to give away Guantanamo Bay.
I don’t know about pardoning POW’s but the turkeys been pretty consistent about trading or just setting them free to countries in the ME.
