You are exactly right. However first priority for Trump is to win nomination. He can't win in general if he does not win nomination.
He will have plenty of time to campaign against Hillary between the convention and general election.

This is not a time to play “gotcha.”
Everything that helps win elections, in the eyes of the WHOLE OR LARGE MAJORITY OF THE ELECTORATE, is good.
Everything else is wasted time and space.

The Fox news panel is having a case of the vapors over Trump giving out Graham’s phone number. I guess they missed the context. Graham called Trump a jackass. Trump responded only as he could.
Seems as though four years ago Graham came to Trump with his begging bowl to get some donations. Trump said he really didn’t know who he was. But rummaging thru his papers he found Graham’s personal cell phone number. And to prove it, he pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket and read it aloud.
The lesson for Lindsay Grahamnesty is that you don’t play the big man calling Trump names when just a few years ago you were panhandling for donations from him. Classic NY put down. The Donald is a hoot.
Invasion of privacy? Maybe Graham should be a little more respectful of someone whom he solicited donations from. Trump proved what an ungrateful weasel Graham is. So Graham gets a new phone number. Big deal.
It will win him more votes than any he would lose. Graham is barely registering above zero in the polls. He attacks Trump as a jackass despite hitting him up four years ago for money. Trump provided the phone number to prove what he was saying was true. Invasion of privacy? So sue him.
Do you think they would be having Congressional hearings on sanctuary cities if Trump had not raised the profile of the issue of criminal alien crime? Stenle’s death would have been chalked off as another homicide victim of an illegal alien, just like the tens of thousands of others.
If you are who you say you are and you are doing what you say are doing for vets, then you should be applauding Donald Trump who is the only one running who is fighting for vets and has been helping them for decades...somethin don’t add up bout youz.

Actually, with certain R audiences, that is the trick now, go v. Obama/Hildabeast NOW.
Think about this bit in the televised primary:
“Bob, (whatever first name of moderator is). Here is the bottom line. Everyone watching tonight is thinking about “which Republican.” The reality is, any man or woman on this stage, on their worst day, is incredibly better than another 4 very long years of the Obama/Hillary, America Last, failure-filled disaster-driven presidency.
I certainly have differences with some of the candidates up here tonight. NONE of us agree on everything... but ANY of us, any one of us is better than another four years of Obama/Hillary failure... and ALL of us, all of us working together are the best chance America has to thrive and prosper again.
Sure, we have our differences, but we all have more in common, more great plans for a better America, and more dedication to that better America, for everyone, than Obama/Hillary could ever dream of.
Yes, I want to be the next President. and I think I have the best plan for a Better America, but, because a Better America is more important than I am, I’m pledging that I will work hard for this nomination, just as hard as I’ll work for a Better America.... but I pledge, who ever among us wins the nomination,,, I’ll work just as hard to see they are elected so every one in America is not a victim of another 4 years of Obama/Hillary.

I’m certainly no fan of Lint-Seed, but if parents had HALF A BRAIN, the ONLY PHONES they would give to their kids would be flip phones (and without texting enabled).
But nearly all parents (except me) simply don’t have the gonads of Trump and immediately COWER IN FEAR when their twerp (or, even worse, twerpess) DEMANDS a ‘smart’ phone.
Trump’s purpose now should not be “gotcha.” It’s winning votes. Giving out a private phone # is frightening to most women... and they too, you know!
Most voters are NOT like us. They are politically uninformed wimps, but they vote, and to win, we need to capture their votes too.
Trump already has most of the hard-right vote. Why pizz off the MOR when you get no votes in return.
Winning the GENERAL election isn’t an important thing.
It’s the only thing.
And calling Trump a jackass was petty and stupid. I love the way it’s Trump that gets attacked for defending himself. To hell with the lovebirds McCain and Miss Lindsey Graham. He should have given out his boyfriend’s number. Trump didn’t get where he’s at for being a wimp and the establishment clowns trying to destroy him are going to find that out.
Others, and now me, have said that Trump CLEARLY appears to be a FReeper, as he is better in tune with us than ANYONE ELSE we can think of.
I just wish I knew his handle, it would be GREAT to get a few comments in to him.
