Yes, Donald Trump gave everyone Lindsey Graham’s real cellphone number. And he’s not sorry.

“Yeah, that’s so weird coming from a man of such obvious good character. He’s such an astonishingly good man that he’s never had to ask God for forgiveness.
Just ask him. “

Dear Crusher136,

If it were merely a matter of adopting tactics that we might otherwise feel are beneath us, I'd adopt them in a second. But there are some tactics that are intrinsically evil, that are sin. I know that it handicaps me, but I try to avoid committing sins to get to the good things that I want or need, or believe in. I'm a businessman. Over the years, I've lost a lot of deals because the other guy did something sinful, and, well, I wasn't so willing. One may not commit instrinsic evil because the ends are good. Maybe I'll never be really, really rich because I generally try to avoid doing evil to achieve good. Maybe I won't die a rich man as a result. But I will be able to face my Lord with a clearer conscience. That's worth all the gold, all the political power, every earthly thing that there is.

I believe he organized and donated large amounts to the new NYC Veterans hospital. Maybe he should broadcast exactly what he has done so you will feel better.

He HAS broadcast what he has done. He wrote an article in USA Today, where he cited (as support of his history of supporting vets) his work on the NY Vietnam Vets memorial (which opened ~30 years ago) and his support of a parade in 1995 (20 years ago). Now he has been touting a hotline that he opened today. That's it?

And he should not be broadcasting his support "so [I] will feel better." He should be broadcasting the extent of his support because he is running for president and is claiming to have a history of "fighting for our Veterans." So, why shouldn't he have to back that up with some facts?

“I love Trump, but why would he do things that most voters would call an invasion of their privacy if it happened to them?”

Because the RINO’s are letting the Rats do that to us. Now they will know how it feels. I think it was a slick move and it sent a message.

"Trump in 3 weeks has done more for this country, veterans and American citizens than the government has done since Reagan…

Oh, yeah, the border is now more secure
ISIS is weaker
full-time good-pay jobs are proliferating
Lois Lerner has been arrested
the budget is balanced
the military has been strengthened
welfare fraud is way down
400 goldbricks have been fired from the VA
And Iran has shut down it's nuke program

What a great 3 weeks of solid achievements thanks to Donald! Let's Party!!

All are missing my point.

To govern, one must win the General Election
To win the General, one must win the primaries.

No matter how good your thoughts, policies, history, Conservatism, etc, if you don’t win both sets of elections, you go home the loser.... and losers don’t get anything done.

Every time someone says, well, in losing he moved the discussion / made his points / educated the electorate, etc., that’s just another way of saying they lost.... and the other guy and his ideas / policies / cabinet choices,, etc. won

Rule #1: If you do not win ALL the elections in the cycle leading up to the post you are seeking, you have lost. Period.

To win either set of elections, primary of general, you need every vote you can get. Giving out Miz Lindsey’s cell phone # didn’t get him any more votes, and many would think it’s an invasion of privacy to do so.

Rule #2: In running for office, never do anything that’s not going to get you votes, and never do anything that’s going to cost you votes, because like it or not, if you don’t get elected, the other guy does, and you and your ideas have lost.

I’m not saying there was anything “wrong” in giving out the #, just that it played into the hands of those who say Trump is a “nut.”

In the end, getting elected is ALL that counts. The “if they elect the other guy (Obama) we’ll never elect another Dem for 20 years,” claim was incredibly stupid. (that was the stupid 2008 rallying cry of of fools and trolls, who presumably prefer to forget about something called 2012.

Understand, I LOVE THE DONALD. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE HIM AS PREZ. I JUST DON’T WANT HIM DOING THINGS THAT THE AVERAGE VOTER WOULD SEE AS FOOLISH AND MEAN-SPIRITED, AND THEREFORE HAVE LESS CHANCE TO GET ELECTED.

I once complemented Tom Delay on a then-recent legislative victory. I told him I was very surprised the vote was so close, because he was so obviously right on the issue.

Delay said “Counselor, you’re a trial lawyer. Remember that the rule of jury verdicts works here in Washington too. If you have the votes, it doesn’t matter if you were right or wrong., because you won. But if you don’t have the votes, it doesn’t matter if you were right or wrong either, because, without the votes, you lost!”

I just don’t want to see The Donald giving away any votes in an “unforced error.” We will need those votes!

You see, there is this thing called an election that has to occur first.

It took Patton 9 months to move out of Normandy to total victory against Hitler.

It took the Virgin Many 9 months to birth Jesus.

Give it time, Son, give it time.

Trump gave out Linseed's cell phone number?

Big deal. The political hacks at OPM gave out all my personal information including military and extensive info on my security background checks, SSN, bank account numbers, credit cards, private info on my family members, all my current and previous home addresses and everything else in my personal files to the Red Chinese and even paid them to access it.

So, I'm finding it really hard to fret about Linseed's cell phone number...

Were you bothered when Lindsey called Trump a “jackass”?

I am thrilled finally we have a REPUBLICAN candidate who actually counter punches instead of just a sheepish smile Romney style, when attacked.

Note that Trump has NOT initiated the attacks on others.
He is simply counter punching those who called him “cancer”, “jackass”, “crazies”, etc etc etc

I am still searching for your indignation post against Graham, but can’t find it!

Trump just exposed how little McCain has done for veterans, as a chairman of some Veteran’s committee, and how rotten are VA hospitals in treating veterans.

I am guessing you do not follow news much.

There is a grand canyon wide gap between “socialized” medicine and universal healthcare from private sector. Take a look at my profile page.

Trump didn’t “expose” anything. I do follow the news, and the deficiencies in the VA (not to mention McCain’s failure to lead in that area) has been in the news since well before Trump made his comments.

And I was asking about ACTIONS, not words. As in, what ACTIONS has Trump taken to support our vets. Words are cheap.

Trump has one job, get elected.

Without getting elected, nothing happens. “Elections have consequences.”

This is not a time to play “gotcha.”

Everything that helps win elections, in the eyes of the WHOLE OR LARGE MAJORITY OF THE ELECTORATE, is good.

Everything else is wasted time and space.

McCain was exposed, as a chairman of a senate committee related to veteran’s issues, on how little he has accomplished so far.

Can you name another prominent republican who exposed McCain for his ineptitude?

To fix any problem, first you have to identify the problem. And the problem is inept senator McCain.

McCain is just as ineffective in senate as he was flying military aircraft.
