Best States for Gun Owners 2015
gunsandammo.com ^ | 7/21/2015 | Keith Wood

Rather than simply reverse the rankings made by anti-gun groups, G&A has conducted a thorough review of each state’s laws and considered initiatives pending in state legislatures. Every effort has been made to create a ranking system that is fair, equitable, accurate and objective. States were ranked numerically in each of five categories: right-to-carry, right to own “black rifles” (i.e., firearms possessing a tactical appearance), presence of the Castle Doctrine, subjects relating to the National Firearms Act (NFA) and a catchall miscellaneous column.

Me? Linkage. Guns and Ammo? Real work. LOL! No problem. This public service info is for wide distribution.

Did my listing work? Hope so. If so, ask about a particular state and we can get the info. DC worst——AZ best.

No. 40 - Washington state. A CPL (formally CWP) permit costs $32 for a renewal and $36 plus finger printing fees for first time applicants. The cost listed Guns&Ammo is incorrect.

I live in Az and they’re right.

You can’t swing a dead cat without hitting someone open carrying. It’s pretty normal to see someone wandering around with a rifle. Walmart, Safeway, the Outback... somebody is strapped.

They’re doing a really good job of normalizing weapons here. People don’t freak out about it.

Bloomberg is going after AZ next year with his universal background check (aka registration) ballot initiative.

Cannot click this at work. Guns are treated as worse than pr0n in our web filter.

Anyone willing to post the top 10?

No problem. Seems like some folks were at work and couldn’t link to the G&A link due to blocking software. Back to work minions! LOL!

rktman,

I apologize for only leaving a caustic comment yesterday about the RKBA post that you made without giving credit to all the effort you put in to that excellent posting job. For that, I am sorry.

The reason for the comment is because the open carry law just passed in Texas allows open carry only for those with CCLs. Furthermore, it does not take effect until next year.

What just happened in Mississippi that took effect July 1 is FULL open or concealed carry with NO license as long as the concealed carry is in a purse, backpack, fanny pack, briefcase or any other method that completely conceals the weapon (sneaky-pete)

It is ridiculous, I know, but we are only one small step away from being 100% Constitutional Carry!

WooHoo!!

Anyway, the bottom line is that I wanted to make sure you know that I appreciate your post sir.
