Playboy Interview: Donald Trump (good & bad)
Playboy.com ^ | October 2004 | David Hochman

Posted on 07/19/2015 7:43:44 AM PDT by canuck_conservative

...What kind of son were you? Were you rebellious?

I was very bad. That’s why my parents sent me to a military academy.....

Is it true that you’ve never had a glass of alcohol?

I’ve never had drugs and never had alcohol and never had a cup of coffee....

Do you think Trump Tower and your other buildings will bear your name a hundred years from now?

No, I don’t think so.

Why?

I don’t think any building will be here—and unless we have some very smart people ruling it, the world will not be the same place in a hundred years. The weapons are too powerful, too strong. Access to the weapons is getting too easy, so I think the landscape we’re looking at will not be the same unless we get smart people in office quickly....

I had an uncle who was a great professor and a brilliant man—Dr. John Trump, a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His whole life was devoted to the study and eradication of cancer, and sadly, he died of cancer. But he was a brilliant scientist, and he would tell me weapons are getting so powerful today that humanity is in tremendous trouble. This was 25 years ago, but he was right. The world is rocky, and some terrible things are going to happen. That’s why I lead the life I do. I enjoy it. I know life is fragile, and if the world looks like this a hundred years from now, we’ll either be very lucky or have found unbelievably good leaders somewhere down the line....

“Mr Trump, do you read it for the articles, or the pictures?”

I wonder what the removed comments were, lol. It so rarely happens in the political forums.

Good luck to Trump this week. The loser republican candidates and their GOPe backers will be attacking him more than any democrat this election season for his McCain comments. The problem for the GOPe is this will be easily apparent to the base and Trump will likely rise in the polls even higher.

McCain needed to retire years ago. He has become the “Uncle Fester” of the senate and the shame of the great state of Arizona.

He’ll do fine. The folks who would never vote for him in a million years will feign mortal wounds, the rest will ignore it or cheer it.

I agree he’ll do fine. Trump seems to be able to take the attacks and fire back twice as hard.

The leftist media who attacked McCain relentlessly in 2008 will now pretend they find Trump’s remarks offensive. Who cares.

McCain will be offended,,which is actually a big win in the real world!

I don’t think Trump’s stupid statement will hurt him a bit.

One of them was only saying that they didn’t buy the whole ‘no drinking’ thing... They said that that would only be believable if he were a Muslim or a Southern Baptist.

I don’t get why it was pulled.

This is really a very good article. Don’t like his comments on Kerry, whom I’m sure today would say is “stupid.” But very insightful, especially why he doesn’t give more away. Carnegie didn’t give until he retired. Rockefeller, a tither, gave all the time.

I liked Herman Cain. Donated and fought for him in the primaries. Didn’t agree with everything, but I did agree that jobs and tax reform would really turn this country around economically.

But he was just too soft and he didn’t have his wife’s backing. Hubs and I knew that he’d never survive the gristmill, but we still hoped.

Sure enough. One hard hit piece from the media and he folded like a cheap suit.

I doubt that Trump will be too bothered by this or anything.

Trump says something, the RINOS and Dems want him to step down.

Where are the demands for Hillary to step down over the missing e-mails?

Cry baby RINOS in butt-hurt mode over some words yet they think nothing of screwing the country, handing over power to Obama or looking the other way when democrats sick the IRS on Tea Party members.

It’s a poor commentary on the state of American politics when only a lunatic dares speak the truth.

That’s odd. What’s wrong with that? I believe The Donald is not a drinker. Hard to believe but NYC is not a drinking city like, say, London.

Trump's trolling you. Talk is cheap. Talk is worthless. Tough talk isn't tough action. What the hell has Trump done the past five years? Nothing!

George Washington's motto is "Deeds, not words." I'm voting for either Cruz or Walker. Their actions speak a lot louder than Trump's words, or McCain/Graham's words for that matter. I'm not voting for Jeb either, but at least he doesn't hide from who he is.
