Actually, make that SIX times I can think of when cops treated me/mine with compassion, understanding, and kindness.

I, in the meantime, will ALWAYS remember and will ALWAYS remind people of your own words: I wouldn’t be too quick to dump on the responding officers. This guy may have had a attitude thinking himself to be the top dog on scene. We’ll see how it plays out.

You're damned right I and many Americans have a BIG damned problem with a civil servant who thinks that a citizen who has an "attitude of thinking himself to be top dog on scene" merits being SHOT. On the contrary, the cop who thinks that should be REMOVED from any career in law enforcement.

YOU are part of the problem, DoughtyOne, your mindset and your bully power-trip mentality. If you aren't willing to be a SERVANT/protector, then stay the hell OUT of law enforcement.

I believe you’re scared s-—less that you’ll have to defend your comments based on exactly what I said. I don’t blame you.

I never said the officers were right to shoot him. I did provide some scenarios that might cause them to.

I said that in the end the officers may be found at fault. I said we would have to wait and see.

The fact of the matter is, on duty officers on a scene are armed and in charge.

You love to play the game of the homeowner not knowing who they were.

Well mighty kong, some guy comes out of a home with a gun, how do they know he’s the homeowner. Does he have a big placard on his chest, saying homeowner on it? NO!

He was armed. That can cause problems in front of the police. If you can’t grasp that, you’re in over your head here.
