There are some Freepers who are supporting Trump as a tactic, to put the immigration issue front and center in the GOP field's field of vision. I can kinda sorta understand that, almost.

Disqualified? Saying stupid things shouldn’t get you disqualified. Hell Trump’s consistent history of being a liberal on numerous issues as well as funding liberals shouldn’t even disqualify him.

McCain IS an idiot. Most times, it’s hard to determine whose side he’s on. Mostly, it seems like he’s on the Dumbocrats’ side, especially when it concerns illegals swarming over the borders and Muzzies.
How far one falls in such a short time - from presidential contender to do-nothing blowhard and now needs to cut down others (with help from a crowd of Truth-haters) in order to try to tell himself he’s still relevant.
This from a guy who just a few years ago was hawking Al Gore for president!!
While I’m no Trump supporter, I’m completely baffled by the fact that presumably [emphasis added] people, which includes virtually all of the GOP candidates but Cruz and Trump himself, can’t discern WHY Trump is getting so much favorable reaction to his comments. The guy is verbalizing (in some cases) things that so many of us want ALL of “our” candidates to say! At this point, with few exceptions, any who jump on the bandwagon would be considered opportunists and completely insincere. But then, isn’t that the definition of “politician”?
With respect to Trump’s comments about McCain, I would refer you to the following article from The American Conservative web site. Although it was written in 2010, it’s just as valid today and tomorrow as it was then. Hero my ass!
