Only political brass hats are left after Skeeter purged the ranks.

No problem. With Obama's Ass Carter as Defense Secretary things are under control.

Exactly! Gen. Ray Odierno, chief of staff of the Army, is one of Obama’s white boy followers.

The next real American President will have his work cut out cleaning up this government!

...he said, it's more about "accidental discharges and everything else that goes along with having weapons that are loaded that causes injuries."

So. He is admitting that the Army does a shitty job of weapons training?

The pictures of the bullet holes in the glass window next to the “gun free zone” sticker will set back gun control for many years.

I can buy that general - just as soon as you dismiss your security detachment and surrender your sidearm.

Gen. Odierno, are the guards around your place of employment armed? Just curious.

Every military facility should have armed soldiers present and ready to defend it.

They post armed guards at banks.

Are our soldiers not more valuable than money?

The gun free zone sticker on the window of the recruiting office says it all. The most dangerous places in the country are gun free zones.

Odious Odierno sends one hell of a message to recruits:

“Come fight for your country. Defend her from attack, foreign and domestic”. By the way, we don’t trust our troops to defend themselves and you while you are here”. HooAhhh.

Xin Loi, MF’er.

The Pentagon building is likely highly overarmmed. As is the Rainbow Mosque.

"I think we have to be careful about over-arming ourselves, and I'm not talking about where you end up attacking each other," Gen. Ray Odierno, chief of staff of the Army, told reporters.

This...this blithering idiot is our warrior leader?

A senior general officer of the United States Armed Forces has actually stated a concern about "over-arming"?

You, "sir", are a damned fool and an obama sycophant.

Somebody get a rope.

“Armed forces”: under Grand Vizier Obama, now as much an oxymoron as “moderate muslims”.

Odierno has his own executive security detail. They are all armed to the teeth.

“I think we have to be careful about over-arming ourselves...”

That’s why I leave my M-2 at home and carry my pistol.

On an aside, Odierno might be a tool, but he designed and implemented the successful surge in Iraq that shut down the insurgents. I think the fact that he was an artillery man clouds his view on the usefulness of personal firearms, but the comments on this guy over the last couple of days have been painting him as an ignorant fop, which isn’t true.

I recently was at the NFCU branch nearest my home. I am less safe there than practically anywhere else, because there is a concentration of unarmed military personnel around me, and any jihadi, connected or otherwise, will see it as a perfect target.
