Huffington Post Plans To Cover Trump In Its Entertainment, Not Politics, Section
TPM ^ | 6-17-2015 | Caitlin Cruz

The Huffington Post said on Friday it will no longer cover the presidential campaign of real estate mogul and former reality TV star Donald Trump as politics, but rather, as entertainment.

"Our reason is simple: Trump's campaign is a sideshow," read a post bylined by the site's Washington bureau chief Ryan Grim and editorial director Danny Shea.

WOW... Like him or hate him, Trump is making too much sense, and getting too much traction, in a way that the Left can't counter. So they jut intend to try and IGNORE him.

The usual ways the Left destroys opposition aren't working on Trump. They are trying to make a caricature of him, but that's impossible to do with someone that is ALREADY a caricature of himself.

His Polling and favorables are growing among Indy's, DEMOCRATS, and especially HISPANICS, quickly.

He's destroying Hillary, publicly and loudly, and this simply cannot be allowed to happen!

IMO, thy are sending a LOUD and clear message to others in the mainstream media.

Covering Trump could put your future career at risk!

I suggest conservative media cover Mrs. Clinton in the obituaries.

Because most of the media want the same politics and politicians as usual. People outside the belt are too “dangerous” and unpredictable and make too much sense for their own good.

The HuffPo would be fishwrap if they could afford newsprint.

I think the comics section would be more fitting...

I don't recall, but did they cover Soetoro in the Crime or Psychology sections?

Pretty much. Who actually reads the Huffngton Post? Drudge is where it's at. Without traffic from Drudge where will the Huffies be at?

Meanwhile the Huffington Post will be found in the comic book section rather than the newspaper section.

I love it, this is awesome! Putting Trump in the more popular section so that low information voters who avoid the political section and are actually looking for the latest gossip will get to see Trump’s message. And without the contrast of the more liberal candidates to dilute the message.

Way to go HuffPo!

Trump will get more votes out of Huffington’s entertainment section reaching low information voters than he wind other areas IMO.

Exactly, in this day and age where more people get their political news from “The Daily Show”, they may be doing The Donald a huge favor.

the Journ-O-list may have a different name but it is alive and well.

BTW ALL news departments were moved over to the corporate entertainment divisions YEARS AGO. There is no news only entertainment.

If they think this is a way to hinder his campaign, they are wrong. Many in the modern crowd pay little attention to politics. But they are up on all the latest gossip and entertainment. Trump will get way more exposure here than in any political section.

They are doing him a favor.

Ha. That will give Trump a bigger footprint in the LIV world than if they had covered him in the politics section.
