RUSSIAN-backed rebels in Ukraine’s east believed they had shot down a Ukraine Airforce fighter jet as disturbing new footage shows them ransacking the luggage of passengers and crew from Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17.

A year ago today, 298 passengers and crew including 38 Australian citizens and residents died aboard the Kuala Lumpur bound commercial flight after it was shot down over east Ukraine, 40km from the Russian border.

Much footage exists particularly on the internet of the aftermath of the downed airliner, smouldering over three main wreckage sites about the rebel stronghold of the embattled Dontesk region.

But, after a 12-month pursuit, News Corp Australia has obtained new footage shot by the rebels themselves on a camcorder as they captured what they initially believed to be a Ukrainian air force fighter jet they had just shot down using a ground-to-air missile system.

There is so much information and misinformation about MH17 that I don’t know what to believe.

I wish they didn’t pixelate the IDs. That’s the proof.

The premise of the video is Russian backed rebels thought they shot down a Ukrainian fighter and it turned out to be a passenger plane.

Those that gave the passenger plane clearance to fly through a war zone are ultimately responsible.

Nothing game changing in the video.

This is an info war played by two sides with extraordinary capability.

We have absolutely no idea what is really going on there and likely never will. Everything can be faked, incited false flagged, etc.

Wrong. They believed they were shooting at an SU-25. The radar signature isn’t close and the Frogfoot is incapable of reaching the altitude at which the airline was traveling. The fault is squarely on the operators of the BUK system.

“Those that gave the passenger plane clearance to fly through a war zone are ultimately responsible.”

“Funny” how nobody is investigating how this was allowed. Even flights over Crimea were banned due to uncertain ATC coverage. But flying over those SAMS was allowed for some reason...

And numerous aircraft were shot down in the weeks before so there are no excuses.

Victim blaming? High altitude planes are allowed to fly over conflict zones all the time. This corridor was cleared above 35000 feet. It is expected that insurgents and terrorists do not own high-altitude SAM systems.

Putin is the one who gave some monkeys a powerful weapon and he is responsible for what these monkeys did with it.

BUK system operators 100% responsible.

The airliner was flying way beyond the level of anything the Ukrainians had and would have come up on their systems as exactly what it was-- a civilian airliner flying at 30,000 meters. Those responsible are the Russians whose SAM system was on sovereign Ukraine territory shooting down everything in its airspace.

I believe there’s a little building in St Petersburg where all these “blame EVERYONE except those who fired the missile” people work.

Another name for them: Putinistas. Posters on the wall with shirtless Vlad on horseback, etc., etc.

We have absolutely no idea what is really going on there and likely never will. Everything can be faked, incited false flagged, etc.

We know that the Russkies took credit for it and even bragged about the murder on their social media, before they realized it was a Malaysian airliner, and thus they took it down off their official pages, including videos they took of the aircraft being fired upon. Afterwards, they first claimed that the airliner was filled with dead bodies drained of blood and was sent by the Ukrainians to sully the name of Russia's elite forces. After this, they blamed a Ukrainian ground attack jet of magically having the ability to fly 10,000 feet above its maximum altitude without weapons to shoot the airliner down-- the Russians even produced fake satellite imagery of the exact moment the missile went flying from the SU-25 (because Russians are very very stupid people in general). This led to a Wikipedia edit war as IPs from Russia rushed to increase the stats of the Frogfoot to make their claims ring true. This all climaxed with the BUK system responsible being filmed fleeing Ukrainian territory and being moved back into Russian territory. What you call "extraordinary ability" by the Russkies to play with information is really more like retarded monkeys throwing crap at the wall hoping some idiot will get deluded.

““Those that gave the passenger plane clearance to fly through a war zone are ultimately responsible.””

The American Federal Aviation Administration issued restrictions on flights over Crimea, to the south of MH17’s route, and advised airlines flying over some other parts of Ukraine to “exercise extreme caution”. This warning did not include the MH17 crash region.[62][6337 airlines continued overflying eastern Ukraine and about 900 flights crossed the Donetsk region in the seven days until the Boeing 777 was shot down, with Aeroflot, Singapore Airlines, Ukraine International Airlines, Lufthansa and Malaysia Airlines being the most active carriers.[64]

How do you know all those “slip ups” arent just more disinformation? You can make anything appear to be from anywhere these days.

This is poker. Not checkers.

We would have to have powers of mind control to force the Russkies to do all these things for us. Maybe we are already controlling your mind, and are using you just to make our opponents look like raving conspiracy lunatics?
