Law enforcement officials in Connecticut were called into a flea market over the weekend after someone called in to report a person selling Confederate and Nazi memorabilia.
Despite the controversy surrounding the nature of the objects, nobody was arrested since no laws were technically broken, WTNH reported (video below).
The items were being sold on private property, according to the chief of police.
William Moore is the co-owner of Military Specialties Inc. in Newington, Connecticut, which sells authentic objects from Nazi-era Germany, Civil War-era United States, and reproductions. He told WTNH that such items can often be found in Connecticut.

I’d like to know what laws were “un-technically” broken or thought to have been broken.
What does that even mean? Can a law be un-technically broken? Can it be figuratively broken?

I have been to flea markets where adult videos and publications are sold. They are not out where they can be viewed by the kids. Again, technically, no law was violated but a few months later the flea market had a list of things that could not be sold.
So the fact that people didn't get arrested for having a Confederate flag is a "technicality"????? We aren't in the USA anymore. Illegal immigrants can actually and flagrantly violate the law and it doesn't matter, but if you have a Confederate flag, you should be in jail.

Like the US Attorney General’s office and San Francisco giving sanctuary to lethal illegal aliens, main stream journalists won’t have a problem with violations of the 1st amendment’s guarantee of freedom of speech ... until their ox is getting gored.
