LOL! Love it!
Does anybody really believe Pissonus, would tell Trump to “tone it down”?
This from a GOP party too afraid to lay a grove on Obama.
I bet when Trump told Pissonus he would be #1 in the polls very soon,
Pissonus was reaching for his family size Tums bottle.
"He said, `Well, you really have hit a nerve, keep going,'" Mr. Trump recalled. "He said, `If you could tone it down - I know that's tough - but if you could tone it down, that wouldn't be bad."So, you think the big issue is which side originated this particular call? Is that the issue? The reality TV personality said his aides have been in touch with Mr. Priebus frequently in recent weeks, but that no concern had ever been expressed about Mr. Trump's comments.
Reading more of what Trump said, mindful of what the press reported, seems to me Trump and Priebus are in agreement on existence of the "tone it down" remark; with question remaining about the duration of the conversation (is that an important issue, to you?), and .... well, I can't think of any other differences, real or imagined.
“So, is Priebus going to lambaste the press? or crawl into the corner and hide?”
Excellent Point! Where is the clarifying statement from the 43 year old RNC chair??
Trump has already withstood 2 weeks of intense carpet bombing.
And his poll numbers have gone up.
I’m o fan of Trump as I think he is just a hot dog, but I congratulate him on hitting a nerve. No way is he going to stay on the phone with a loser dweeb lecturing him for 45 minutes. A polite call for 15 minutes, maybe.
180 degrees different account from the WaPo news story.
Why would Priebus- deny it. Trump has been for the GOPe- all along. He was a Romney man in 2012.
“Does anybody really believe Pissonus, would tell Trump to ‘tone it down’?”
Did you read the whole article? Trump himself says that he told him to tone it down.
Rudy was never nominated.
You are correct. I Re-Read the article.

The Latino vote: I'm sick and tired of hearing Hispanic groups and tv people bragging over and over again that the upcoming presidential election will turn on the Latino vote.
How sad it is that our country has come to that, that is, it seems that people have surrendered and determined that the future of the United States rests in the hands of one group, Latino voters.
I never hear anyone say that the presidential race depends on non-Hispanic voters? Don't non-Hispanic, non-Spanish speaking voters mean anything anymore? Have they become invisible? Don't they matter anymore? Sad.
I seriously doubt whether Trump has 45 minutes to waste chatting with Priebus on any given day. 10-15 sounds more like it.
Kudos to Trump for forcefully stating on a national platorm what most Americans believe.
“The Donald is essentially saying: When I get to DC, Im going to pop open the hood and take a look around to find the reasons things are not running right.”
Exactly how Ross Perot got Bill Clinton elected.
In defense of their argument, Sen. CRUZ received over 40% of the Hispanic vote in Texas when he ran against the biggest Political machine (Dewhurst) since, well LBJ (without ‘stuffing’ Ballot Boxes, I presume).
;-) Hence my specific paraphrase...
The Donald is clearing the way for Ted Cruz. I have no intention of voting for the Donald, but I am cheering him on at the moment.
Exactly.
Exactly. No red-blooded American should be against that. I am really starting to get excited. he needs to hammer the fact that he doesn’t need wealthy donors to cowtow to.
