Homosexuality Has No Genetic Cause
BARBWIRE.com ^ | Septemer 4, 2014 | Jonathon Moseley

A genetic cause for homosexuality is not scientifically possible. A homosexuality gene, if it existed, would quickly die out. However, it gradually becomes clear that liberals and progressives are poorly-educated about science. They passionately believe in evolution, yet they don’t understand it.

Public discussion is driven by an assumption that one may be “born homosexual.” Being ‘born’ homosexual is a medical impossibility unless there is a specific gene causing it. That is, heterosexuals would have one genetic DNA sequence while homosexuals have a different DNA sequence in its place.

I discovered something debating this topic: One central point simply escapes the understanding of liberal activists. Homosexuality powerfully reduces reproduction. It is a lack of sexual desire for the opposite sex. Any individual who lacks desire to engage in sexual activity that results in children will have dramatically fewer children. Duh.

Robert Oscar Lopez reported on the controversy here Wednesday at www.BarbWire.com, “Yes, Gay is a Choice. Get Over it.” A college professor expressed her opinion in a newspaper editorial that homosexuals can choose to stop being homosexual. The University of Toledo fired Crystal Dixon. Lopez points out how liberals reduce people to the level of animals with no self-control. Lopez also recounts his personal transition from gay man to heterosexual husband celebrating twelve years married to his wife.

But if there is a genetic predisposition, why isn't the genetic basis extinct already?

No, it wouldn't necessarily. There are many genetic conditions that result in failed offspring or infertility. Some are mutations, some are recessive genes that require rare combinations to occur. Even if a homosexual gene completely prevented children (gays still have normal sex sometimes), it can still make it through generations of genetic passing-on. Quick google search:

Psychopathy seems to be inborn, but we do not therefore decide that the behavior of psychopaths -- lying, cheating, stealing and murder -- is morally neutral or to be "celebrated

What about the Clintons?

A “homosexual gene” also flies in the face of those who believe in evolution, since it would be a disastrous “trait” in the scheme of that theory which requires huge amounts of generations to work.

There was a family in my hometown that had a set of identical twin boys. These boys were raised from birth in a Christian home. Mother and Father are still married to this day. The family went to the same church as my family and I was around these twin boys frequently. It was apparent from my earliest awareness that one of the boys was a boy in every sense I was and the other was quite effeminate. In addition to effeminate behaviors, he had physical features that were more feminine like musculature, facial bones, etc.

Long story short, this experience has led me to believe there is something genetic or gestational that leads to homosexuality. Guess no one knows for sure, thus the ongoing debate.

I can remember several children, a girl and a boy who went to elementary school with my daughter. They both grew up to be homosexual and it was obvious from about the 3 rd or 4 th grade.

I know a gentleman about my age who has a number of sisters and two brothers. The gentleman is heterosexual, having been married for nearly 50 years and having a heterosexual son and daughter. His two brothers, however, are homosexual. The two of them have been in their relationships for 30 years (+/-). Having two homosexual brothers must have cause some considerable familial stress along the way.

No use doubling down on a badly chosen metaphor.

The fact that scientists cannot find a heterosexual gene does not prove it is a choice.

Yes it is possible. And at all stages it should not be encouraged.
Agreed.

Don’t quit your day job.

People with genetic defects fail to procreate all the time and yet those defects continue for thousands of years.

One obvious example: Down’s Syndrome.

You have proven nothing.

Now homos are talking out of the other side of their mouths, they are saying that sexuality is “fluid”. They used that homosexuality is a born trait canard to fool the gullible, now that they have the gullible public in the palm of their hand, they can go on to the next step. Eventually they will breakdown all boundaries which is what they wanted from the beginning. They are insane and they want no boundaries.

Leftist just love their genocides but then they act like people are just bugs to be stamped on. Such snobs, you can see it especially when they are trying to cover it up by acting like they are the most compassionate people on earth. They do protest too much, must be hiding something.

Psychologist actually used to do studies and collect data on patients on homosexuality and other things. Now it is about doing the politically correct thing or keep you mouth shut. Whether it is homosexuality or global warming everything that can be politicized will be politicized.

"Because of the social pressure to get married to the opposite sex mentioned above.

But regardless of being married, the definition of homosexuality is reduced or no interest in sex with the opposite sex -- reproductive sex.

Without the social pressure to get married, a homosexual gene would be extinct in only 1, 2, or 3 generations.

With the social pressure to get married in a straight marriage,

1) Homosexuality would ONLY persist in societies that had the social pressure to marry.

2) Societies where there was no social pressure would have no homosexuals today. All homosexuals would be extinct in those cultures.

3) In societies with a social pressure to marry, anyone carrying a homosexuality gene would have FEWER children than normal -- in periods of history of high mortality rate for infants, children, and adults -- and homosexuality would be extinct in maybe 500 to 1,000 years.

Since we hear references to homosexuality 3,000 to 3,500 years ago, today there should be no homosexuals anywhere on planet Earth... if there were a genetic basis for it.
