Scott Walker’s Wife: One More Reason For SoCons To Worry?
The Daily Caller ^ | July 6, 2015 | Matt K. Lewis

Behind every great man, there’s an incredibly astonished woman. And if you’re a Republican politician, the odds are pretty good she’s not on board with everything in your agenda. Along those lines, social conservatives have a new reason to worry about Scott Walker: Tonette Walker.

In an interview with the Washington Post, Wisconsin’s first lady publicly distanced herself from her husband over the issue of gay marriage. What is more, it’s clear that Scott Walker’s views are out of step with his entire family on the issue.

” I’m not sure if these women understand this, but the public is not charmed by their disagreements with their husbands.” ——

So true! Absolutely. And the media does love to exploit as you say. I’m not sure some of these wives are not a tad egotistical themselves, beneath the blinking eyelashes, and endless goofy glances at the hubby. Still, some wives can hardly resist feeding the public a few remarks about their own specialness.

This might not be entirely fair to Walker, but I’m tired of being burned by GOP politicians with whom I’ve placed my hopes. This could be a possible segue for him to shimmy over in the liberal direction later on in his political career. His handlers have to know that the homo-loving national media would fawn over him for such a move. Imagine him dropping this kind of evolution-bomb during the general election.

“Look at how moderate he is!”
“He’s a different kind of Republican!”

Decades of disappointment and surrender have me always suspicious.

PS: I will watch her a little more closely when I see her. I have not seen any of her in video clips.

Oh yes. Don’t you remember Martha Vandela and the Tonettes?

The libtard media always try to find differences in Republican families on controversial issues.

They never do with democrats. The tact is to cause tension and concern on the Republican side, and if anything is run on democrats, it’s to showcase how despite differences they still shmoopy wuv each uder and respect their different opinions.

In short it’s a hit tactic/piece on Republicans, and it’s a puff piece on their democrat kinfolk.

It is doubtful Tonette would be a silent voice in the White House. She and her children are vocal about their support of homosexual marriage. The fact that Tonette has to pause and choose her words carefully puts up a red flag to me.

Except from the post: “That was a hard one,” Tonette said, pausing and choosing her words carefully. “Our sons were disappointed. . . . I was torn. I have children who are very passionate [in favor of same-sex marriage], and Scott was on his side very passionate.”

“It’s hard for me because I have a cousin who I love dearly — she is like a sister to me — who is married to a woman, her partner of 18 years,” she said.

(Walker’s son acted as a witness to the gay marriage of Walker’s wife’s cousin.)

Gee, I assume that the Biden, Clinton and Obama Families were at odds with all three Candidate Anti-Gay rhetoric.

They were all Haters when Dick Cheney supported Gay Marriage. Of course, Democrats are allowed to Evolve, even though they were lying about their positions in the first place.

I remember during Iran-Contra, she stood by him and told him what to say when quizzed by a reporter. It was pretty clear that Nancy was closer to Betty Ford politically than to her husband. Or am I missing something? I can’t think of a conservative stand Nancy pushsed, but there may be one, other than “Just Say, No” to drugs.

Dear Mrs Walker,

Why in hell would you support child-molesting faggots?

There aren’t any differences in Democrat families, all are far leftists.

[What’s her view on abortion I wonder?]

We’ve had too many moderate/liberal First Ladies in the White House. Some have been pro-abortion, others were into the occult; Common Core, and a pro-homosexual agenda. All living First Ladies as well as some of their children continue to leave their misguided imprints on American History.

I, for one, want a First Lady who is not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ and who will stand for Traditional Family Values. 2016 is America’s last chance to get it right. This election is not about Republicans, Democrats, Independents. It is about the battle for the soul of American and a referendum if we can truly say “In God We Trust.”

They influenced their husbands to embrace moderate/liberal stances during their terms of office.
