Trump says presidential campaign is 'bad for my brand'

Donald Trump admitted that his presidential campaign is hurting him financially.

In an interview on Fox on Saturday, the real estate mogul hit back at critics who allege that he's just running for president for publicity, saying that his campaign has damaged his image and his businesses.

"This isn't good for my brand, I think it's bad for my brand," Trump said. "Maybe I'm leading in polls, but this is certainly not good. I lose customers, I lose people."

Still, Trump maintained that his businesses are "very strong," and haven't been too hurt by the bad publicity yet.

Yup, eminent domain use by Trump is indeed a bitter pill to swallow... but I will swallow it and will vote for him if he is the nominee. My preferred GOP nominee is Cruz but I will gladly take Trump. ANYONE but Jeb! I will swallow hard and vote for Jeb! if he is the nominee though. He’s less dangerous than Hillary.

IMO, eminent domain should only be used for things like important highway construction...etc The idea of using it to force a landowner to sell to a developer that will pay more property tax to the government is repulsive to me.

If he keeps going even if badly hurt financially, he can see it as reparations for a less than stellar past and be remembered as a hero and a patriot. If he wimps out he will be remembered as a weak, blustering, moral failure.

When Trump announced he was seriously thinking about a run he was supported by at most 25% of freepers on any post about him.

Then Trump jumped up to 50% of freepers supporting him.

Then he was at perhaps 70%

Now he’s got perhaps 85% of freepers at least considering him a viable choice.

I say that within 90 days his support here will be almost total unless Cruz picks up a lot of steam. (I sure hope he does!)

Many qualify their support with a statement like “He’s an idiot but at least he is brave enough to speak the truth” or
“He’s not my idea of an ideal candidate but I like what he’s doing”

Soon however most freepers will drop the qualifiers and just say he’s their man.

The GOP should be fielding several great conservative candidates. The only one I consider worthy is Cruz... and even he gave me a fright when he toyed with supporting the insane secret trade deal...Oy Vey

People are desperate for a fighter that will voice their values. So far only Trump and Cruz come anywhere close.

Conservatives have a massive hatred for the MSM. If the MSM is attacking a candidate that is a signal that the target of the attacks is a worthy choice. The MSM will make Trump unstoppable if they keep up the hysterical attacks against him. Ditto the attacks on Trump from the GOPe... if they hate someone then that someone just can’t be all bad.

Trump may not have been totally committed at the beginning but as the price he pays rises from the boycotts and personal attacks against him by the MSM and the GOPe his
allegiance to the race will solidify. A point will be reached where he will be all in, do or die.

If the GOPe manages to get Jeb! in as the nominee by screwing over Trump and Cruz in some underhanded way then I predict they will face a three way race with Trump running under a different party banner.

Imagine Hillary, Jeb! and Trump in a debate. Trump will win such a debate. Hillary and Jeb! are not worthy and will look very bad up there on that stage.

If Trump runs 3rd party I predict a three way electoral college split that would probably have to be decided by the House. IMO this is the ONLY possible way Jeb! could win... by being selected by the GOPe dominated House.

If Jeb! must be the loser the GOPe puts up then I say I’d prefer he came in 3rd rather than 2nd. There’s no way he wins in a two way race anyway.

Trump is not a conservative. I do not understand why anyone would support him over Ted.

I support Cruz over all others. I hope he moves up in the polls and becomes the eventual nominee.

You somehow think that a man who marries and divorces a series of younger and younger women; who uses government might to steal property from citizens; who supports abortion; who takes advantage of cronyism to get a gun permit you have no chance of getting and who calls for gun bans and three-day national waiting periods; whose ego demands that he get into Twitter fights like a child; and who blusters about China and Mexico while his own clothing line is made in China and Mexico; who donates to Democrats and who placed Hillary Clinton in the first pew at his latest wedding... you actually think Donald Trump can be anything other than a weak moral failure?

He’s already there. The only question is how many people he takes with him before he throws the election toward the Democrats.

Other than Cruz who else can handle the job like Trump can do.

Since we do have Cruz then what do we need Trump for? It just draws attention away from Ted as well as from Obama.

Absolutely correct. He is over the target and telling the truth. We have been invaded and no one seems to care. RINO’s are detestable, spineless creatures. I have no use for them. Trump is by no means the ideal candidate ( I am a Cruz man) but Trump has started a conversation that many in this Country were afraid to start. Now that someone is saying it, the Establishment has to shut him down before he wakes up America. I hope Trump keeps fighting the good fight, because if he backs down, no one else will have the courage to tell the truth.

There's no such thing as bad publicity. Consider Hillary.

"This isn't good for my brand, I think it's bad for my brand," Trump said. "Maybe I'm leading in polls, but this is certainly not good. I lose customers, I lose people."

He's laying groundwork for dropping out. He'll probably endorse either Cruz or Fiorina..............
