It’s amazing the folks at Salon can keep their mouths above the ever deepening steaming pile of horse droppings over there.
Just another pretentious leftist parasite who doesn’t understand how a nation develops, esp. the U.S., and how it corrects injustices over time.
Compared to the rest of the world, we are “the shining light on the hill”.
No one gets into a rubber raft and flees America for Cuba, any other place in Latin America, esp. Mexico, or to Africa, esp. South Africa or Zimbabwe, or the Boko Harum caliphate, or most of the Moslem nations of North Africa.
The same for the Middle East. It seems that despite all of our flaws, the Christians and Azidis and Moslems of Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria are fleeing either to the US or Israel, Jordan and out of geographical desperation, Turkey.
When the terrible tsunami hit Indonesia, Thailand and Sri Lanka years ago, we moved an American city named the 7th Fleet over there to help save lives and rebuild damaged ones. Oh those horrible American imperialists, the same ones who flew into Pakistan to help with the casualties of numerous earthquakes, or Haiti, or any of the dozens or scores of countries we helped fight plagues (Ebola), earthquakes, droughts, floods, diseases, or the ravages of wars.
If this twerp at Salon thinks that we are not worthy of the heritage of the 4th of July, then screw him and his warped mental illness known as liberalism, progressivism, Marxism, or just plain dumbassed stupidity.
From the way people like him write, a far better and accurately descriptive name for their website should be “saloon”, where so-called “intellectuals” go to get drunk on their own writings and mental masturbations of hate.
Any Continental soldier who died defending the 4th of July is worth 10,000 of Salon’s mental weasels, who will never be worthy of shining their boots.
The concept of original sin and man’s fall from grace kind of ruins every holiday for me not to mention life.
Watching the Fourth of July celebration on the mall in DC on tv right now and EVERYONE is white. Ha. Too funny.
