SALT LAKE CITY (CBS/AP) – The Episcopal Church has completed its embrace of gay rights, changing church law to allow same-sex religious marriages throughout the denomination, just days after the U.S. Supreme Court legalized gay marriage nationwide.
The new policy won overwhelming approval from the top Episcopal legislative body Wednesday, following decades of debate and conflict. It came 12 years after the denomination blazed a trail by electing the first openly gay bishop.

Well, looks like the L side prevailed. Whew.
I’ve got to tell you, I can’t believe what I’m seeing in this nation. It so clearly fits what churches have seen as ‘end times’, that I think most of us folks who know we should be there in our hearts, should return to church.
When push comes to shove, we should be there to defend them.
I talked to the minister of our little Baptist church about the direction of things the other day. He’s opposed to marrying gays but feels that it will be unintentionally good for Christianity in the sense that it will separate the men from the boys. (No pun intended)
Its a very small church so the tax exemption doesn’t really mean much but I told him that I would be happy to donate a few bucks per year to help out even though I’m not a member.
Every liberal faith group that accepted it only started having ceremonies for their gay members after the state they happen to be in accepted it first, to my understanding. I suppose these guys are a little different, they waited until the feds gave them permission to change their theology.
Shows you how much they really care about their gay members. It was so vital they waited until 2015.

I guess they are hoping to get the 1% of the population that is homosexual and the less than that who want to get married will joing their now “formerly Christian” church.

I don’t see it affecting their membership. The Boy Scouts were not impacted that much by their perfidy.
