Texas Sen. Ted Cruz stood next to former New Hampshire House Speaker Bill O’Brien on Friday and called Sen. Kelly Ayotte “a friend.” He also called embattled U.S. Rep. Frank Guinta “a good man."
Cruz would not say whether he agreed with O’Brien that Ayotte should face a primary next year, saying that he is “focused on my own primary.”

And I think it is incumbent on every elected official to make the case to his or her constituents that we’re going to do the job we’re elected to do. And so I will leave those suggestions to the voters of New Hampshire to determine that for every elected official.
“But I’ve certainly been very happy to work with Kelly on a number of issues, and I expect to continue doing so, working side by side,” he said.

Remember Ted said 2 days ago the GOPe has adopted the tactic to divide conservatives and run Jeb up the middle. But you knew that already.
I mean really, Cruz was in New Hampshire. Ayotte was there. Is he supposed to say “I hate this RINO Kelly”.
Is this article supposed to say something negative about Cruz?
So, with that background, the article could be trying to taint Cruz by association.
Im curious as to whether it would be better to bash Ayotte and coalesce 30% of Republicans who oppose Ayotte in a 10-way race.
Of course they are. They’ve pretty much sidelined Ron Paul, Jr., Huckleberry and Sweater Vest, but they’re having a tough time with Ted Cruz.

That’s what I thought but the article is confusing.
O’Brien and Smith were with Cruz. Cruz then was asked to talk about Ayotte with Ayotte hater O’Brien at his side.
Ayotte was sure as hell not at a Cruz campaign launch.
Cruz always tries to respect Reagan’s 11th commandment, he has said on many occasions men like McCain and Romney are good men but they are moderates and moderates always lose.
You know for someone who wants to be president TACT(Cruz is an artist at such) is one very important leadership trait (Cruz demonstrates an abundance of leadership traits); now for us it is very easy to call them losers and a host of other negative adjectives but we are not vying to fill the most powerful position in the world.
Kelly Ayotte is one of the most disgusting sellouts in the US Senate, a McCain wannabee. Who is Ted Cruz trying to win over, anyway?
