We have three Jews with no concern for Jewish Law. I was mistaken that the word apostate stemmed from the original word apostle which is not true

They both derive from same Greek roots

I should have looked it up

It’s not by default Christian centric

I suppose Sufis and Shiites are apostate to ISIS

The word applies to anyone who’s departed from their fundamental creed

Even ideology apparently
