“Serious question to Catholics, when is it time to leave the church? When you have a Pope like this who is a hardcore Marxist, how do you stay in the church?”

That is indeed a very good question - The Church has gone through periods like this in the past.

All I can do is pray - for whatever it is work. - Even Christ on the cross cried out - Father why have you forsaken me

Speaking of the Pope....our new Associate Pastor DID NOT KNOW HIS NAME! He had to ask the Deacon if the Pope’s name is Francis.

The Pope is not doing so well and not held in high regard by even Catholics.

He needs to stick the religion and forget such as socialism and climate change, give me two breaks with that man.

Father Swami....his name is Father Swami.

Heh.

Sounds like the way we dealt with “poor” senior officers in the Navy:

Just “salute the shirt” and pray for a replacement.

Call the sheriff, as your daughter is violating the order. Let the sheriff know that you have no objection to your daughter coming over, but you want protection and a witness.

Be aware of other recording devices in her purse. This may not go well.

The Confederate Battle Flag was a battle flag and nothing else. If you want to take down a flag that has been used to oppress people since the country started start with Old Glory. It was Old Glory waving on the top of slave ships carrying ships. Slavery existed under Old Glory for about 100 years, compared to the four years that the CSA exist. It was Old Glory that Union soldiers under Sherman and Sheridan were carrying as they massacred entire villages of Plains Indians. Now am I calling for the American flag to come down, of course not. For good or bad, flags are part of our history. This whole flag story is silly. Just something for the liberal media to latch onto. Both flags have been used by racists. The preferred flag of the KKK is the American Flag, not the Confederate flag. The vast majority of the Sons of Confederate Veterans are republicans, not democrats and the flag is nothing in the world but a symbol of Southern Heritage. It’s time that this Southern genocide ended. And it’s time that republicans grew pair and quit running scared of democrats and race-baiters.

I am also a Southerner and damn proud of it.

-- ... the country got caught blindsided by the same sex marriage thing ... --

The overwhelming majority of federal courts who took up such cases since the early 2000's fabricated a constitutional right to homo-marriage. SCOTUS adding its weight is no surprise.

Makes you want to buy a Stars and Bars and fly it proudly. I had relatives who fought on both sides of the war and died for their cause.

It wasn’t all about slavery, it was about states rights and where does the power of the Federal Gummit end. We are still fighting that war and that is what this dust-up is about.

Have any of the people elected to public office asserted that SCOTUS has precipitated a constitutional crisis? That term usually generates dialog of a stronger tenor.

That's too much; whether the flag was used for repression or liberation purposes depended on who was waving it. If you want to remove a symbol of repression, take Andrew Jackson off the $20 bill.

And if we NEED a female replacement, I will cast the first vote for Kaitlyn Jenner, the most recent symbol of the American priorities during the last several years. (Not actually a female, but since we don't actually have a completely black first black president right now, the symbolism syncs nicely).

General Hayden was kind of washy about whether we should sign a deal with Iran. What we need is a perspective on the War of "Islam VS. Civilization" compared to the Cold War that ended in 1989. Like it or not, we in this for the long haul, because the moslem elements that are waging war against civilization have been at this for a long time.

The history lesson should start with the problems that led up to the Furst Crusade, and include Jan Sobieski, pointing out that the Battle of Vienna was in 1683. Perspective will make the Cold War look like a weekend of bad behavior compared what civilization has been dealing with regarding moslems.

On the other hand, still of Fox, Ted Olsen seemed euphoric about homosexual marriage, at least in a Ted Olsen outburst of emotion. (Very subdued, but animated for him compared to other appearances he has made.)

Where does this nonsense end? Will republicans sit idly by and watch the Washington Memorial and Jefferson Memorial be vandalized? Will they demand they be tore down, because both were Southerners who owned slaves. Ah hell it makes no difference to these idiots that both were presidents and one was the Father of the Country. Will all the monuments to some of the greatest generals this country ever produced now be demolished? This is insanity and it’s going on because most republicans are chickenshit and will not stand up to democrats when they start hollering out their demands. They fold like a cheap suit, each and every time.

Ted changed. When he was married to the wonderful Barbara (3rd wife) he was on board. Of course she went down on a hijacked airliner on 9/11, the one which hit the Pentagon.

Ted was a founding member of the Federalist Society and a board member of the American Spectator. Fairly conservative.

Then he married some crazy Gay advocate “Lady Booth” as wife #4 and he has been a mouthpiece for Gay “marriage” ever since.

Someone tell me just what is the life expectancy of an adult male homosexual?
++++
The Vancouver Study says 8 to 20 years less than you or me. There seems to be very little other data on this subject. The Gay Community is in denial on the subject and political pressure is clearly against performing some real science and publishing the results.

It seems today many conservatives are finally reaching that level of disdain. I do think we are experiencing the end of go along to get along attitude among conservative voters. I can only hope and pray it’s so.

I am with you on these feelings with the exception that this is an entirely different generation we are living in. I do NOT believe the level of disdain will ever reach a level where conservatives go out and march on the District of Corruption - we saw some of that with Glenn Beck's huge gathering years ago and Michele Bachmann was able to get a few thousands to surround the Capitol, but since nothing ever came of those events coupled with the GOP continuing to select Boner as Speaker, plus electing and sending a GOP to "Teddie Swimmer's" seat and nothing has come from any of those actions. I believe conservatives (like me) have taken an attitude of "What is the use - the current generation does not believe like WE do, so I am the new minority" when it comes to self-governance.

NO, I do not see any uprising by Conservatives - the time is long past for something to occur. Enjoy the ride down (sorry for the pessimism, but I cannot help myself any longer).

Bush II gave us a Chief Pirate who also sees penumbras in the written constitution. The SCOTUScare Law can be called a TAX whenever I say so. Any why yes, I will double down on it too. Just so you peasants learn to mind your place.

A penalty/fine is not a fine but rather a Tax (one day after the entire SCROTUS argued that it was NOT a tax on day one or the case could not be heard), a State is not a State but rather the all powerful FEDERAL Government.

We are finished enjoy the current lawlessness.

Bluntly, the left’s goal is to destroy American institutions and how they have shaped our society. It’s a prelude to changing us into a totalitarian society with communism as the ultimate goal.

Politics remains an example of power and money. The Democrats want more government power with the ability to enrich their exulted leaders.

You are right, Cboldt, of course, about activist courts everywhere over-riding the voters’ wishes.

I think Americans, silly us, thought that our constant denial of same sex marriage via the ballot box, meant something.

So the SUPREME....just the name makes us bow in reverence t the mighty ones so much wiser than us....court says Ben can marry Brad so we shrug....hey, it’s love. We all need love, right?

Soon we shall realize how we were overruled and hornswoggled by the elite who think they rule us.

But I’m probably wrong.
