Justice Kennedy hailed as gay rights icon

The newest gay rights icon wears a drab black robe and got his job from Ronald Reagan.

Perhaps no American political figure has been more consequential in gay and lesbian Americans’ fight for equality than Supreme Court Justice Anthony M. Kennedy, the author of Friday’s majority ruling that essentially legalized gay marriage around the United States. That decision is the latest in a string; despite officially being a member of the high court’s conservative wing, Kennedy has written every major opinion in support of LGBT Americans since 1996.

And some didn’t know which way he would vote. I read a few weeks ago about his upbringing in California. I knew he was going to be a homo hero.

The proper response by Congress would be to immediately pass legislation requiring ALL SAME SEX Marriages in the US to be Personally Performed by a sitting member of the US Supreme Court. Failure to perform any such ceremony would render the individual Justice PERSONALLY LIABLE for any and all damages incurred by their failure to perform said ceremony personally.

I hope it backfires by embarrassing him.

It would be important to know the degree of Justice Kennedy’s commitment.

So, the question should be asked by Justice Roberts, of Justice Kennedy, if you were to be hanged tomorrow for your decision, would it remain the same?

The weasel has released three homosexual rulings all on June 26. I guess he forgot that Stonewall was June 28 or maybe he didn’t want to be that obvious

That is a good question. My guess is that he would have ruled differently. He would have been much more concerned about losing his soul.

The champion of sodomy rights?

Hard to see how you could feel proud about that.

But happy rights? That sounds happy.

Mark 8:36: For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

From a personal standpoint, it’s not too late for Kennedy to reconsider his decision. He looked for ways to support gay marriage.

I had read that he had a lot of gay friends in his life — professionally and personally.

I’ll bet Barry and Reggie invited him to the White Hut last night to look at the pretty lights and pack fudge.

Losers always looking for a new icon because none of them last very long and gays are the biggest losers of all.
The only ones they want to wed are other losers and they do they have won nothing except misery.

I would like to point out the current religious affiliations of each member of the U. S. Supreme Court:

There are six Roman Catholics currently serving on the court (Samuel Alito, Anthony Kennedy, John Roberts, Antonin Scalia, Sonia Sotomayor, and Clarence Thomas) and three Jews (Stephen Breyer, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Elena Kagen).

Nary a Protestant Christian.
