Do it through the Automobile Club (AAA), and you will do well and get free travelers insurance for cancellation worth hundreds for free that covers 100% of the cost with a doctors note if need be.

If going on the cheap go Princess on an inside cabin on a higher floor near the middle of the ship.
Great outside movies, pop corn and stops.

I do what to give my Parents the best I can, but I do have to watch my Budget. Thanks for the Tip on Princess.
I think they would actually like the Upper part of the ship better anyway. :)

The upper part has more expensive areas, but Princess has some low cost inside ones in the good area away from noise and heavy rocking.
