Race will cause the American republic’s complete destruction. Either the Left will succeed in its decades-old campaign of preying on “white guilt” to impose a socialist dictatorship on the U.S., or there will be a backlash that will make the George Wallace phenomenon of the 1960s seem mild. Either way, the limited central government that America’s founding generation established to maximize individual liberty will be gone. As Ronald Reagan knew, once freedom is lost, it may never be recovered.
After a rash of race riots coupled with leftists’ growing demands that local police powers be assumed by the federal government, I am increasingly pessimistic about America’s future.
Remember Barack Obama’s 2008 call for a “civilian national security force” that would be as strong and well funded as the military? Is that where the U.S. is headed? Were Obama or, more likely, some future left-wing Democrat president able to create a “civilian national security force,” would the result be like Hitler’s Gestapo or Stalin’s NKVD?
With or without local officials’ connivance, the feds, through the Department of Justice, have already taken de facto control of police forces in Ferguson, MO, Baltimore, MD, Cleveland, OH, and several more. Will other local police forces be taken over as well?
The possibility that a backlash will engulf the nation is very slim. To succeed, a movement needs leadership with the charisma, will, and courage necessary to confront an increasingly politically correct political culture. No such leadership is evident.
The prospects of a race war leading to a socialist dictatorship are, alas, much greater.

If you read my post rather than reacting to dog whistles, you’d have noticed that I OPPOSE destruction of such icons. I may not like what they stand for, but I adamantly disagree with calls to destroy them.

Yup. Elon Musk is getting raked over the coals for accepting & leveraging tax credits enacted precisely to support people doing exactly what he’s doing ... but since he’s a capitalist, the Left wants him destroyed for doing what they’re compelling the rest of us to fund. ****ing insane.

So, if a State in the future wanted to secede from the Union for some other reason, would that be okay with you or would you be motivated to put yourself at risk to stop them?
I can't answer that in a vacuum. Would depend on the circustances, why the state wanted to secede, etc.
Here in NJ the money for funding them has dried up, and they live in crumbling ghettos without police protection. It is a start...
BTW, this is why years ago when Obama was running for re-election the Left tried to portray the word “socialist” and “the new N word”; they knew, as the representatives (read: handlers) of the unassimilated urban blacks, that Obama’s redistribution policies were unpopular with the dwindling number of taxpayers, and wanted to quash any discussion of it.
Now he wants to spread those “takers” into areas inhabited by “makers”, but that exposes another problem: Whites are no longer buying homes, so they are retaining the ability to flee when an area “goes Mogadishu” - and Hispanics and Asians end up holding the bag/getting the bill, so to speak...
They are going to have a real problem as whites are leaving this world in greater numbers than a new generation can replace them - there is nobody left to pay. This is really coming to a head in NJ; like much of the country, many of the whites breeding here aren’t even working. They’ve learned the game, and intend to live as wards of the state (like urban blacks) - no marriage, no job, no education - just pay them.
It is no vice to arrange one’s affairs such that he pays as little in taxes as possible.
Everyone should investigate this. Stop paying for your future executioners.
Sure; I remember learning the difference between “tax avoidance” (completely legal) and “tax evasion” (which isn’t).
I’m also doing my bit (for personal finance reasons more than anything else, but it dovetails nicely with the larger scheme of things) where I’ve dramatically cut back my spending - no more eating out/fast food, making my own lunch for work, etc.
It is amazing the types of people I don’t rub elbows with anymore...
