It is possible they will vote to remove their history, but where will that quit? Some people are into self-mutilation, too. Giving an inch will never satisfy, it will only show weakness and cause the enemies of America (That battle flag is part of us, too—wherever your roots are, so teach history warts and all.) to redouble their efforts to have us forget we are a nation conceived by and born of rebellion.
