An annual dog meat festival in south-west China has begun, amid uproar on the part of animal rights activists.
About 10,000 dogs will be slaughtered for their meat at the Lychee and Dog Meat Festival in Yulin in Guangxi province on Sunday and Monday to mark the summer solstice, state media said.
City officials have distanced themselves from the gathering. "Some residents of Yulin have the habit of coming together to eat lychees and dog meat during the summer solstice," the city's news office wrote on Weibo.

Yeah, that’s cute and all, except it’s not so much “wok-ing” but slowly boiling them alive and/or skinning them alive. The torture is part of the sick tradition as it ‘helps to tenderize the meat’. If you’d like, I can post a pic for you, of a dog enduring this, if it helps with your emotional detachment.
If China has its way unchecked, the only thing left to eat in 20 years will be radioactive sewerage algae and each other. Can soylent green be made from people who eat nothing but soylent green?

If you’ve eaten Chinese you’ve eaten dog and probably cat too. Cat is easy to spot as it’s darker and more sinewy than dog.

My niece had a petition on facebook to try to stop this thing. I tried to tell her even if she had 100 million signatures it wouldn’t help. Personally I think petitions are a waste of time and effort. Too easily ignored and carry no weight

It will be fun to watch the horror of "progressive" Westerners when they realize that all the "niceties" they have worked so diligently to establish will be swiped away in one stroke when the Chicoms take over.
It will be similar in hilarity to their realization that the Muslims, whom they have long courted so mindlessly, will abolish their holy idols, e.g. same sex marriage, in one fell swoop when they take over.
