I am reading the encyclical and have come across some of these 11 points. Unfortunately, for me, they feel like tired old bromides, thrown out there to give the old-schoolers something to like. The vast majority of the document reads like the offspring of a bad high school ecology paper and the Communist Manifesto.

The local priest had a series of homilies on how Jesus was not really Incarnated. That was the final straw.

She goes to church with me at my LCMS parish.

I have said repeatedly on FR that they are gearing up to officially declare Jesus a metaphor.

It will happen at the pope level. Your church was a trial balloon for that event.

That is EXACTLY what the priest said.

On Christmas Sunday.

The Catholic Church is the largest obstacle to liberalism because of the Bible. If you break the faith of the people, then you have an open path to communism/Atheism.

Liberals play a long game but they sense time runs short. Barry’s grip on power is tennuous because his replacement will not be a Democrat and they know it. So they must speed up their incremental approach. Remember the words of Rhamm Emanuel. “Never let a good crisis go to waste. Can do things in a crisis you could never do otherwise”.

So you send the Catholic Church into Chaos. Whether the protestants like it or not, The Catholic Church is their roots and when EF Pope Hutton talks, people listen. When he declares Jesus merely words, then there will also be a crisis of faith in the other denominations. Most will reject it. And thats what the left wants. Because it takes the focus off them and internalizes it within the churches.

Which is why they expended so much effort putting their people into christian clergy. To guide that discord.

Never let a good crisis go to waste.

A lot of self-declared Catholics don’t actually believe. So it is not surprising, if a bit disturbing that a priest would say that.

A Catholic Republican is a Republican whose Catholicism comes first, whose faith and devotion to the teaching authority of the Magisterium of the church takes precedence when a conflict or tension arises between it and loyalty to the party's ideology, policy platform, and electoral prospects. A Republican Catholic, on the other hand, is a Republican who puts his devotion to the party ahead of his faith

He's got it exactly backwards. The NOUN is the main thing a person is, the ADJECTIVE is the the that modifies the whatness of the noun. Oftentimes, the adjective only points to accidental qualities, subject to change. The blonde woman may one day be the grey-haired woman. But not-withstanding the imaginations of the LGBLT types, she remains a woman.

I am a conservative Catholic. The core of my belief is Roman Catholic. The writer doesn't really understand which Church teachings are binding, and what is completely outside of papal jurisdiction. The Pope may, in limited circumstances make infallible pronouncements. He has admitted his own lack of impeccability. This Pope has not made a single infallible pronouncement yet, save for when he is citing past infallible pronouncements made by others. Climatology doesn't even fall under His Holiness' expertise, much less his jurisdiction.

Well look how many priests are either gay, gay supportive or Pedos. And the Vatican knows it. And does nothing to get rid of them. The left put them there SPECIFICALLY to do this kind of damage. And now they have the Cardinals and the Pope in power.

Why WOULDN’T they say it? It’s the whole point of their leftism. To destroy Christianity. I know it’s upsetting, don’t get me wrong. But look at the facts.

For decades, the church has mirrored the secular world going further left by the year. They continually adopt more blatantly leftist dogma to usurp Bible dogma. Why would that be if not to destroy the Bible as THE credible source of faith to the faithful?

It’s obvious. Hard to accept. But it’s obvious. All one need to do is look at the actions and ask ‘Where does this ultimately lead?”

I was taught Catholicism by teachers who believed and raised by parents who didn’t(though I was unaware of that at the time) so I understand where you’re coming from here.

What gets me totally tweaked is that a lot of us were raised like that. But many just don’t care. I get accused of having a very binary view of the world. There’s a time and a place for grey nut I don’t see that time or place in matters of existential nature.

The core of Catholic faith centers around a binary concept. There is a right and there is a wrong. There is a God and there is a Devil. Catholicism and Christianity overall cannot BE anything but binary regardless of what I or anyone else thinks. It just is.

Moral relativism clearly has no place in Christianity because morality is divine in nature. It comes from God.

So I have to ask those determined to excuse this communist and his followers, whose team are you playing for? Bible teaches one cannot serve two masters. That a dual minded man is dual minded in all things. Binary.

So which is it? This Pope and his anti-Biblical posturing or God? It’s a simple enough question grounded in basic Catholic/christian teaching. But so many refuse to answer. And that shows me what their answer is because there can be only one answer. Highlander baby ;)

I never said I wasn’t. I’m merely pointing out that your brand of Christianity has issues as well. Once again, if all Protestants voted Rep, we’d have a Rep president. Why don’t we? Because Protestants vote Dem also.

LOL,you sound a like someone who approves of the Catholic vote, and supports the democrats continuing to import them by the millions, to overcome the pro-life conservative vote.

Pope Francis does represent Catholic politics very well.

Ah, name calling. I must must be a baby murdering, illegal immigrant supporting lib because I pointed out that obama is pres due to Protestants as much as any other religion. My conservative record on FR is solid. Your Alinsky tactics are not.

Aside from sounding a little nuts, you also don’t seem to understand that the point is how denominations vote.

The Catholic church denomination is a democrat supporting denomination, and we are importing them by the millions, and do you remember what the thread is about? The thread is about their denominations leadership, based in Europe.

Can a good conservative be a member of the Catholic church? Sure, but they should know that they are the minority in that denomination, even among the minority of Catholics who vote republican.

I've lived all over the country and abroad, and I have had a lot of whacked out priests.....but the HOLY EUCHARIST and the HOLY SPIRIT made me get through it....thank GOD!!! Bad Priests come and Go....ETERINTY is FOREVER.....so is the HOLY EUCHARIST!! PLUS....my loving Jewish husband makes sure I get to Mass no matter where we are on the planet.

If your wife left the Catholic Church because of something a MAN said, well then, she is like the seed that took root, but withered when the sun came out.

Everyone is responsible for their own soul....good luck.

What the heck is LCMS?
