Hillary Clinton reportedly charged a Boys and Girls Club chapter $200,000 for an appearance, then left the premise without saying hello to children who benefit from the program.
The massive fee, which she donated back to her family foundation, was the largest the Long Beach, California, organization had ever paid a public figure for a speech, Politico reports.
By contrast, the club made $106,000 off the lunchtime, charity event - it's lowest yield in 25 years. A contributing factor to the diminished proceeds: Clinton's large entourage that took up seats that would have otherwise been sold to donors.
The details of the 2014 closed-press event were published in a Politico report today that cites a volunteer with the group as the source of the unflattering information.

She didn’t charge the fee, they offered to pay it and she accepted. The question is, what did they expect to get for the fee? What did they actually get? Or, was this just a gift by the board at the expense of the children they are supposed to serve? If so, I’d say it’s time to replace them. Though who would do that escape’s me. Who are they accountable to?

This from the woman who last week took the holier than thou position last week that the Republican candidates hadn’t even read the bible. She’s taking 200K from a charitable group to give a half hour speech.

Nothing new, here. The Clinton Crime Family has been robbing kids of their future for years. Why would they stop now?
I don't give to charities anymore. It seems like all of them are part of the grand scheme of things.
This is SOP for most high profile charities in the U.S. and why I give my money very selectively.
Leftists who have worked themselves into amazingly lucrative leadership positions at these charities, redirect the money given to perform the stated function, in order to push their personal political agenda.
Look at the Komen Foundation, which collected large amounts of money from across the political spectrum to “fight breast cancer” and then re-purposed those funds to provide abortions at Planned Parenthood.
This is the method by which the Leftist elites network and stay in the good graces of the collective.
I don’t understand why groups like this, and college students, ever got into a world of 2 and 3 hundred thousand dollar Speeches, or even how the speakers developed this get rich scheme.
When did this incredible waste of vast fund raising dollars begin, and what else do they waste such fortunes on?
Shame on the Boys and Girls Club. Their national organization needs to set cap on how much can be spent on speaker. They gain nothing from having a paid speaker. Lots of good people, talented, caring people would speak gratis. If that’s how big wads of their money is spent, potential donors of discard household items and monty should sent their charitable donations to an organization that is a good steward of donated funds.

Walter Annenberg, a noted conservative, endowed the Annenberg Foundation. It is now supporting liberal causes and gave money to Bill Ayers and Barak Obama for their ridiculous Chicago Schools initiative, which failed in its purpose but enriched them both. I don’t give money anymore.
