I’m guessing many of the old Mafiosi got into legit businesses like Las Vegas gambling like the Corleone family. I know there’s plenty of stories about the Outfit still skimming money as depicted in “Casino,” but maybe many of them figured it was less dangerous than the drug business.
a lot of the old guys are dead. Alot of the young and middle aged guys are in jail.
They still narcotics, do boiler rooms, home invasions. vending machines, check cashing stores, real owners of delis under other people’s names to wash money. the list goes on.
But now the Russians and Albanians are here and cutting into things bigtime.

Exactly! Communist scum are ready with an excuse for ANY deranged behavior. I’m certain a Sudanese cop would have done the same thing under those circumstances!
