Five reasons Jeb Bush will be the next president
Washington Examiner ^ | 06/15/2015 | BY JASON RUSSELL

Posted on 06/15/2015 2:24:11 PM PDT by SeekAndFind

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush will launch his presidential campaign Monday in Miami. Much will happen to change the shape of the race between now and November 2016. But given what we know now, I predict that Bush will become the 45th president of the United States. Here are five reasons why:

1. Bush is seeking to grow the Republican Party.

Rather than trying to expand his support among conservative voters, Bush is trying to make inroads with moderate, swing voters. For example, when I've heard Bush talk about his education reforms in Florida, he doesn't just give conservative talking points about expanding families' freedom to choose the school that's best for them. He explains how successful the reforms have been in making Florida's Hispanic, black and low-income students outscore students in other states.

Bush is a true Big Tent Republican. He generally doesn't attack other Republicans, and when he attacks Democrats, he generally avoids the outraged tone that other GOP candidates employ. This will be an attractive feature to the growing share of voters who are fed up with the politics of perpetual outrage. Conservative voters likely won't like his moderate approach to immigration or his support for Common Core. But Bush isn't flip-flopping on those issues; instead, he is working to convince conservatives of his positions while taking his message to moderate voters.

2. He's already in the lead.

Bush leads the RealClearPolitics polling average (although Scott Walker and Marco Rubio are very close behind). His drive to attract moderate voters will expand his base of support. Few others are competing for the same voters, leaving Bush nowhere to go but up.

This field is nothing like 2012 although the same threat it there for Jeb to somehow survive the field. Romney won because the field was terrible. Voters were desperate for anyone else, but no one could do it. This field is super deep. There are 4-6 tea party inspired candidates all to some degree conservative at the core and all very smart campaigners and communicators. 40 somethings that understand the modern era of politics and campaigns. While the threat of canceling out is there, I think it’s a whole different scenario than last time where each candidate has their big rise and then fall. This time it’s more likely to see supporters entrench with ‘their’ guy until it’s too late. IMO every needs a 1,2, and 3 and after the first couple states start being pragmatic.

Rather than trying to expand his support among conservative voters, Bush is trying to make inroads with moderate, swing voters.

Great strategy! Presidents Dewey, Landon, Nixon in '60, Ford, Bush I in 1992, McCain, and Romney agree! Even Bush II won both of his races by nose-hairs.

Given a choice between Bush and Hillary, most will pick Hillary as she is the authentic leftist and actually offers free stuff to the long suffering masses of self-seekers.

Good bye to the Obama Regime, Welcome to the new, improved Clinton Regime.

Bush is trying to make inroads with moderate, swing voters.

Translation: He's going to act like a Democrat.

Jeb looks like an overgrown, flabby boy. He’s no leader, and is more concerned about Mexico than our country. I wouldn’t want him as vice president, much less president.

Don’t get me started. :)

True, but at this point, his goal is the Republican nomination.

I see common core and amnesty as detrimental to the US, so I can’t vote for anybody pushing this crap.

Many believe Nixon would have won in ‘50 were it not for vote fraud in IL and TX.

Might as well just hold a coronation instead of an inauguration...

Isn’t that to a large degree what happens? The one with the most money
and ‘I’m here to help you’ verbage usually gets the most votes.

You should have glanced at “The Five” this afternoon. Dana Perino’s lovely blonde locks were all brown down to below her shoulders, almost as brown as they were after she extolled the virtues of the “Arab Spring”, after she barely managed to slither out of Jebbie’s fundament. Of course, the other four were just about as bad.

I don’t like him, and I’m tired of seeing support for him on Fox News.

The Bush name is one people actually know, so they have to mention him (just like all the media have to mention Hillary much more often than Sanders or O'Malley), but does Fox News actually support Jeb?

Not with my vote.

I am not alone.

Jebster goes beyond noseholding.

He wants you to vote for giving your country to fraudulently documented foreigners.
