EXCLUSIVE: Trump will declare $9 billion in assets as he reveals 2016 plans

Donald J. Trump, the billionaire real-estate mogul, on Tuesday will release a summary of assets that total about $9 billion as part of his likely entry into the race for the Republican presidential nomination, according to people familiar with his plans.

The two-page document — which will be published after he holds a political rally at Trump Tower in New York — will provide a valuation of his hotels and other properties. It will also show hundreds of millions in cash on hand and an outline of his debt, the people said.

The details he will reveal Tuesday will provide one of the first looks at the worth of the real estate and television empire that the colorful impresario has amassed — one whose value has been avidly debated.

Trump’s declared assets are more than double the estimate of his net worth by Forbes, which currently pegs his net holdings at $4.1 billion. And it would make him the wealthiest Republican contender.

Trump’s longtime financial advisers and Donald F. McGahn, a partner at Jones Day, have finalized the report about his finances in recent weeks as Trump has moved closer to jumping into the 2016 contest.

Earlier this month, Trump told Fox Business Network that he is ready for reporters to scrutinize his holdings. “I’ve had great success. My statements are phenomenal,” he said. “I get my financial statements very early, actually. I put tremendous amounts of people to work, I’ve negotiated against the best in the world, including countries, and I’ve come out on top.”

Trump also recently made headlines when he told the Des Moines Register that he would be the “most successful person ever to run for president.”

“Ross Perot isn’t successful like me. Romney was — I have a Gucci store that’s worth more money than Romney,” Trump said, referencing the fashion mecca on his property on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.

but believe it or not, i think he could make mainstream some touchy subjects. Like China eating our lunch, the border and a few other things.
He says Exactly whats on his mind and it might be refreshing. I like Cruz but Trump would shake things up a little.

Yikes!

Now there’s a match of assets that might challenge Soros organizations flacking for the Marx family jewels.

9 BILLION? Wow.

Trump the chump won't make it far enough for anyone to care about his holdings. At least in the context of a presidential "campaign".

I have researched, read a lot of opinions about all the candidate and then I just realized something:

I hope The Donald takes POTUS, it will put the ‘old hag’ out to sea, and the rest of the spineless GOP hiding and shaking even more and maybe, just maybe it will rid this Nation of this gawd awful P.C. bull$hit...

and as far as our ‘friends’ maybe they will see just what its like NOT to have a ‘whimp’ in our government....

I know a lot of you don’t agree with this, and yes this is revengeful but dang it, we need some justice and I can’t see it with anyone else....

Cruz was my guy until TPP. I can’t judge him on TPP until I can see the bill. As long as it is ‘confidential’, then Cruz’s endorsement of it is suspect.

I like Cruz. He’s the smartest guy in the field, and he SEEMS to be the most conservative. TPP is a deal breaker though, unless I get a chance to read it.

This is the same Jerk that has been donating to Democrats for years.

Why anyone is even taking a look at this traitor is beyond me.

Assets doesn’t really mean much unless he sells it all.

Plus he’s a fool who has a tendency to get into flame wars on twitter that make him look even more foolish.

Trump is the only guy in the field who would exaggerate his total worth upwards just to impress somebody.

Didn’t Trump have a lawsuit against someone who said he didn’t have as much money as he claims?

Hell, I’m enjoying the bitterness of posters on this thread alone.

Trump running will be a beautiful sight!

Now, I'm not advocating a vote for Trump, though if it was him or Bush III and his shadow, Rubio, I'd vote for Trump with hesitation or regret. Trump vs. Clinton, vote for Trump. Anyway, what if Trump put up $1B or even $2B of his own money to campaign? No fundraising, just running? Trump as Trump. That would make things rather interesting. First, he wouldn't need to pander to anyone--when's the last time we had a candidate that didn't pander?

Yes, no campaign lies, just buy the presidency directly...
