The guy stole millions of documents without know what was on them...unless you are dumb enough to think he read all of them before he ran off to Russia, that bastion of liberty and freedom you appear to admire.
In my book the man is a rank coward. Someone loyal to the Constitution doesn’t run away, he stays and fights. If the founding fathers and the Revolutionary army acted the way he did, the Constitution would not exist.
Collecting US phone records, as do the phone companies, hardly qualifies as “watch(ing) the electronic moves of every single American without restraint” or “the American people must live under full observation at all times”.
Just more NSA bashing (a growing and popular sport on FR these days) without any real knowledge of what they do or why.
So others being prosecuted qualifies someone to steal NSA data and turn it over to the Chinese and Russians, before going to live in Russia and going to work for the FSB. It is so obvious even a caveman would do it ...
Any real freedom in the USA was lost decades ago under Nixon - why get upset now?
You said:”...Dude - If Europe REALLY knew what we were doing, wed be kicked out of every country over there. Thats all I got to say....”
I am afraid that this will happen sooner or later anyway. If Merkel i.e. is followed by a social democrat, Ramstein will be history.

You said: “...So now when the German government says “Nothing to see here folks, move along” that’s the end of the story. Because they wouldn’t lie, would they?...”
In fact the Snowden-affair had enomous impact inside the German society. You shouldn’t forget that there is a broad base of politicians that are Russia-friendly like the former chancellor Schroeder. After the next elections it could be that the US have to pay a bitter price for actions of the NSA on German ground. Snowden is a political jackpot for Putin since the last important real pro-US politician in Germany is Merkel. This is really dangerous.
