Bush is going nowhere-when he finally quits the campaign he will assert that he was unable to overcome the hatred for his brother so he had to halt the campaign but the real reason will be, as he is aware, immigration!
90% of Republicans disagree with his stance of immigration.

Maybe he could get Carl Rove to join his campaign and seal the deal.

Nor do they want the person who let Terri Schiavo die be in charge of any discussions about death panels.

This is yet ANOTHER reason not to vote for him.

These lifer establishment GOP politicians are TOTALLY out of touch with actual conservative Americans. We are almost like an alien species to him and other establishment, golf jacket nitwits.

He’s so out of touch that I wouldn’t be surprised if he hired ... wait for it ... Karl Rove to try to fix this problem.

Good grief.

The word "Bush" is an instant non-starter.

Jeb needs to face the inevitiability that he will never be President. He could always run for Rubio’s senate seat. If nothing else Donald Trump is going to run him out and it will be embarrassing.

But that hasn't happened, obviously, and I expect this bloodletting is to show that they are aware and trying to take steps to address."

I would rather see a President Hillary.

Oh wait, Karl Rove.

Karl Rove is the Architect of destruction responsible for much of our current mess.

No more Bushes, Clinton’s or Obama’s. Or Kennedy’s.

I can’t even begin to think what made him think he would be welcomed by open arms other than the GOPe.

Certainly looking like it. And then there’s Jebby and Daddy meeting with the current guy all happy and backslapping.

It might be funny. If it were a movie and not reality.

GHW brought about Clinton GW brought about Obama == The Bush family have done more than their share.

And this is exactly correct, and a point which doesn't get near enough discussion. It was the BUSHES who were responsible for wrecking conservatism and empowering our enemies. It was their BAD POLICY DECISIONS which created the political weaknesses which have been exploited by our enemies to empower themselves.

The absolute WORST THING that George HW Bush did was make a deal with Democrats to break his promise.

*THAT* is the sole factor responsible for the election of Bill Clinton. That is why we have several more Liberals on the Supreme Court, and why we have Homos in the Military.

The Bushes (especially HW) were HORRIBLE for conservatism, and HORRIBLE for the Nation's future.

Now the muckrakers have taken on Bush's wife and her account of how she came to be Mrs. Bush. I don't think Bush is adroit enough to navigate the shark-filled waters, much less gain significant ground in the polls.

The wife is the warm up. Just wait until they start on his daughter's drug abuse and his son's girlfriend stalking.

That goes on saying how the media is trying to have us like Hillary.

I could have said all of that, but I didn’t want to upset the Bushbots, so I just summarized it in my previous comment.

The base has actually moved on from 2000. Following his brother’s model was, is, a really dumb move.

In 2000 the Bush Campaign was able to capitalize on Conservative “remorse” over not reelecting GHW Bush and putting Clinton in office. There was a sense of poetic justice that Clinton would be replaced by the son and heir of the guy who was denied a second term.

GW Bush got his two terms. So it’s a completely different dynamic. No one is going to vote for Jeb out of a sense of regret, or justice, for McCain and Romney losing their races.

In short, we want something close to what Ronald Reagan represented. Ted Cruz is definitely in that category.
